  • On Friday, the Norwegian Special Olympics team embarked on their journey to the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin 2025, flying with SAS from Oslo to Milan. To make their departure extra special, we dedicated check-in counters at Oslo Gardermoen Airport just for the team and welcomed them to the SAS International Lounge for a breakfast before departure. We are proud to support these incredible athletes and wish all the Scandinavian teams the best of luck in Turin!

  • This weekend, we joined the excitement at Alpine World Cup Åre 2025 - sharing good vibes and keeping everyone warm with hot coffee. Together, SAS and Alpine World Cup Åre are taking meaningful steps toward a more conscious and responsible approach to travel for global sporting events. As part of our partnership, SAS added Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for 500 athletes and team members to help reduce the carbon footprint. SAS and Alpine World Cup Åre see this partnership as a key step in promoting more sustainable travel solutions for international sporting events. By showcasing the potential of SAF to lower the climate impact of global travel, we aim to set a new standard for responsible event transportation.

  • This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to operate a flight with an all-female crew. While not uncommon at SAS, it’s a reminder of the progress made in aviation. In 1969, we took a step toward greater equality in the industry by hiring Turi Widerøe as the world’s first female pilot for a major commercial airline. It was a breakthrough that helped challenge long-standing norms, and since then, women have continued to shape our industry at every level. Today’s all-female crew were headed to Åre Östersund, marking the occasion alongside the Women’s Alpine World Cup Åre 2025. Because whether in the skies, on the slopes, or anywhere else - talent knows no gender.

  • Earlier today, our Chief Revenue Officer, Erik Westman, represented SAS at the Nordic Sustainability Arena in Åre, Sweden, joining a panel where leaders from the transportation sector discussed initiatives to reduce climate impact. Erik shared insights into SAS’ ongoing efforts to lower emissions, emphasizing that one of the most impactful steps an airline can take is operating the latest-generation aircraft. At SAS, we’ve made a strategic investment in the Airbus 320neo - one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft on the market. Today, SAS is among the largest operators of this aircraft, which significantly reduces CO2 emissions and noise compared to previous generations.

  • Ensuring a smooth journey for our travelers is always a top priority. We’re proud to partner with Period Pack® to offer free period products in our lounge at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The initiative is all about making the journey more comfortable and stress-free for our travelers - because no one should have to worry about their period while traveling. While it might come as a surprise, it should never be an inconvenience, especially not when you’re on the move. Beyond convenience, this partnership also reflects our Scandinavian values of inclusivity, equality, and breaking unnecessary taboos. Meet Amanda, the founder of Period Pack, and Theres, our Head of Onground Products & Airport Experience, as they share the story behind this meaningful partnership. We look forward to exploring the possibility of expanding the offer to our other lounges within Scandinavia.

  • Congratulations to Delta Air Lines on 100 years of connecting the world! Reaching this milestone is no small feat, and we’re proud to celebrate you as partners in SkyTeam. With SAS flying to Delta's main hub in Atlanta - and soon to Seattle too - our connection continues to expand, offering even more seamless travel opportunities for passengers worldwide. Here’s to a shared commitment to excellence and an exciting future ahead. To Ed Bastian and the entire Delta team: Happy 100th Anniversary from all of us at SAS!

  • Today, we proudly launched our new direct route from Copenhagen to Seville, connecting Scandinavia and the heart of Andalusia. Initially, the route will operate once a week, but from April, we’ll increase to two weekly flights - giving even more travelers the chance to experience the warmth and charm of Seville, a vibrant city, known for its rich history, streets lined with orange trees, stunning architecture, and lively culture. We’re excited to welcome our passengers on board and look forward to connecting even more destinations in the future.
