Meet Maria Stjernholm, a proactive Marketplace Manager who plays a vital role in nurturing the community spirit at hummel. "One of the reasons I chose hummel was the openness to new ways of doing things. It means a so much to me to have the freedom to suggest social activities whenever inspiration strikes.” Maria certainly has no shortage of good ideas. She is a dedicated initiator in hummel's bathing club, where she and a host of colleague’s dive into the sea every Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM, whether it's raining or shining, 5°C or 25°C. Additionally, she has contributed countless great ideas for Christmas parties, Black Friday competitions and much more. "It just adds so much to our well-being that we're not afraid to reach out to each other. I also find that all these social activities help break down the walls between different departments, making hummel a much stronger and more collaborative work community," she adds. Being part of a strong community is something Maria is convinced is crucial for personal and professional growth. She believes it’s important that there's room to make mistakes and learn from them, and according to Maria, this is far easier if you have a personal connection with your colleagues. "I often think you just need to dare to voice your ideas. It may be that the ideas do not always have a clear work approach, but I think most ideas do if you truly understand the importance of a strong work community," she reflects. #hummel #letsplay #changetheworldthroughsport
