IMPROV Communication is an international communications training company headquartered in Copenhagen. We offer a range of workshops with an improvisational twist to a diverse range of local and global companies across industries. Our workshops are based on Applied Improvisation, a technique that can be applied in personal and professional situations, including personal development, and team building. At IMPROV Communication, we focus on enhancing communication, empathy, innovation, presentation techniques, stress management, and the ability to learn from mistakes. Our highly experienced team of international trainers conducts engaging and fun workshops, where all participants are treated equally. Our approach is designed to bring out the best in people and teams so they can perform with confidence and achieve their full potential. In summary, we use playful workshops based on rigorous research to help people learn and communicate through fun. Our goal is to empower individuals and teams to do their best work and perform with confidence.

    “Be curious, not judgmental." This simple yet profound quote by Walt Whitman is at the core of personal growth and successful collaboration. At IMPROV Communication, we believe this mindset is essential—not only in improvisation but in how we approach work, relationships, and life itself.   In an IMPROV Communication workshop session, we train to suspend judgment—of both ourselves and others. Rather than jumping to conclusions or dismissing ideas, we embrace curiosity. We ask, "What if?" and explore possibilities. This creates space for creativity, innovation, and most importantly, psychological safety.   When we shift from judgment to curiosity, we build deeper connections, listen more attentively, and gain new perspectives. That’s why our workshops focus on this as one of our 'Five Guiding Principles of IMPROV'. It’s about embracing the unknown with openness, where true collaboration and trust flourish.   At the Innovation Roundtable® Summit in Copenhagen, 600 top-level leaders and corporate innovators from 250 global companies gather for three days. My bet? These 600 clever minds are more curious than judgmental—making it one of the year's most exciting events for me.   Even so, I sense a certain uneasiness when people join our IMPROV sessions at the end of the two first summit days. Many have never experienced an applied improvisation workshop before. But the surprise of unexpected learning, the energy boost, and the emotional connection to a group of strangers? It’s as rewarding for us as it is for the participants.   After doing sessions in the last three years and with up to 120 participants each year, word is spreading—we’re no longer the IR summit’s best-kept secret.     Yesterday IMPROV Communication held our second Grow and Connect networking event for Young professionals in Copenhagen. A stunning 180 participants have signed up in just two events. And we’re overly excited about the feedback we’ve received. "This is the best networking event I have been to. There was so much opportunity to talk to people and connect." “I love it. More of this please!” “It was amazing. Very simple, yet creative and fun. Very well done!” “Totally recommend! So fun and nice and so many great people!!” We’re now working on refining the service, which aims to provide young professionals and expats with the opportunity to create meaningful connections across professions and industries, providing a space for personal and professional growth.   • From our work with InterIKEA in Germany mid september, IMPROV Communication went to assist their supply chain management team in their process of creating a new programme for their leaders. We're thrilled that our 5 Guiding Principles get to support their mission in fostering emphatic leaders of tomorrow. How can we be leading more with our heart than with our head. How do we put the people first, and create a safe space for each individual to grow, fail and learn without fear of judgement. And what will be the benefits we can gain from having this perspective. These are some of the things we have close to our hearts, and our training helps our participants experience concepts that are easy to read or learn about, though very difficult to understand emotionally. That's why our training always deliver a strong and lasting impact. We're excited to continue to collaborate with IKEA on this important journey.     IMPROV Communication delivered a training for the H&M management team of four european countries yesterday, and what an amazing group. Such dedication and motivation is a joy to work with. The session sparked very interesting conversations about presentation techniques, the importance of Psychological safety, support, how we often judge ourselves and the impact the word but has on our colleagues. We're thrilled that H&M are now also part of our mission to foster a more inclusive communication, with a #yesand mentality. And we look forward to continue to support this team in strengthening this amazing culture. Thank you to Magdalena Bruderhofer and Ana Barisic for inviting us to be part of this teams offsite.
