I got an open Postdoc position in carbohydrate analytics, focusing on characterization of cell wall components in faba beans. The project takes place at DTU Bioengineering and is a part of “N2CROP - Legume innovation for future agri-food systems” #Glycotime

Exciting progress update on intercropping field trials at Taastrup 🌱 We are thrilled to report that our winter and spring intercropping field trials at Taastrup, Denmark are progressing well, despite the unpredictable weather we’ve been experiencing. Our dedicated team at N2CROP has been working tirelessly to ensure that we deliver the best possible results. Although these are the initial trials of a multi-year testing, we are optimistic about the potential benefits these could bring to our farming community. We believe that our efforts in intercropping could revolutionise the way we think about sustainable agriculture. We want to thank to everyone who has supported us in this journey, including Novo Nordisk Foundation for their financial support. Your belief in our mission fuels our determination to succeed. 🌿🌾 Introducing N2CROP: A Vanguard in Legume Innovation for Future Agri-Food Systems 🌾🌿 In the quest for agricultural efficiency and high yields, the industry has historically relied on nitrogen-fertilized monocultures. This approach, however, comes with substantial environmental costs, including high energy demands for artificial fertiliser production and increased chemical use for pest and disease control. The N2CROP project emerges as an innovation, proposing more efficient use of legume-based mixed cropping systems. By harnessing the natural nitrogen-fixing capabilities of legumes, this initiative aims to significantly reduce the dependence on artificial fertilisers, paving the way for more sustainable and resilient agricultural practices. 🌱  Why Legumes? Beyond their high protein content and environmental benefits, mixed cropping systems featuring legumes enhance biodiversity, offering robust resistance against pests and diseases.
