Om os
Founded in Denmark in 1999 by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen, Normann Copenhagen is an international design brand rooted in Danish design traditions. Our continuously expanding collection encompassing furniture, lighting and home accessories is defined by clean lines with a playful twist and crafted with an emphasis on quality and durability. Since Normann Copenhagen’s foundation in 1999, our ambition has been to challenge conventional thinking and make the ordinary extraordinary through great design. By combining the craftsmanship, functionality and endurance characterized by our Danish design heritage with modern silhouettes and durable materials, we aim to create original products in a contemporary design that withstand the test of time. We believe in uniting people and spaces across the world and improving the quality of people’s lives through the power of great design. Our products combine functionality and design and accommodate the diversity of needs of modern life in residential and professional interiors alike. We aspire to increasingly contribute to the making of meaningful spaces that connect people by becoming one of the global leaders in design. Find us in the heart of Copenhagen at the Normann Copenhagen Headquarters on Niels Hemmingsens Gade 12. Our HQ is a six-story brand house featuring three floors of combined flagship store and showroom and three floors of office space, all designed to demonstrate the wide range of the Normann Copehagen collection.

Mat Chair – Through The Lens Of – Nihan Arici We asked Nihan, a Turkish-born fashion trend forecaster in London, to portray the Mat Chair in seaweed through her unique lens. The result pays homage to a passage from her favorite book, In Praise of Shadows by Junichiro Tanizaki: ‘We find beauty not in the thing itself but in the patterns of shadows, the light and the darkness, that one thing against another creates… Were it not for shadows, there would be no beauty.’ Head to the link to discover the full portrait: https://lnkd.in/dyKw9vmq #normanncopenhagen #matchair #throughthelensof

A comfortable and stylish design with a resourceful core. The shells of the Mat Chairs and Barstools are crafted from hemp and seaweed, reducing their environmental impact without compromising on craftsmanship or design. #normanncopenhagen #madewithcare
