ᛈ Jimmie Steinbeck in Ekstra Bladet July 14th, 2024 ᛈ While the summer is upon us, and the team at Penning Group is working on new features, updates, and opportunities for its clients, an unfortunate case came to an end (albeit the prosecuted criminal is still on the run) a few months ago, and Penning's Co-founder and CEO Jimmie Steinbeck had a significant role to play in capturing the perpetrator. By the power of #blockchain and the nature of cryptocurrency, Jimmie was able to map the suspicious transactions to and from the perpetrator who was flagged in the popular Facebook group "Bitcoin Talk Danmark". 2000 pages, with countless pictures of transactions, led to an extensive investigation. From there, together with the national authorities, the police, and lawyers, Jimmie was able to capture, prosecute, and finally convict the person who was baiting innocent investors. While fraud and money-related criminal activities occur in both TradFi and DeFi, the latter has a technology that more often proves to be a powerful tool to prevent financial efficiencies, and that's what Penning was brought to the market for.
