We welcome the approval of the first amendment of IEC 61400-24 Ed 2 lightning standards! The amendment covers changes to the Annex L: Lightning monitoring systems. According to the new standards, Polytech’s lightning monitoring system, 𝗟𝗞𝗗𝗦®, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝟭 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.   The amendment is a significant step forward in recognizing the importance of lightning measurement quality and reliability that can greatly optimize wind turbine operations and planning worldwide.   Our team at Polytech is always ready to serve the OEMs and asset owners with reliable lightning data through our LKDS®⚡️

One of the many considerations when developing our new leading edge protection solution, ELLE™ Onshore, was to optimize logistics. When technicians do an LEP campaign, having the fundamentals in one small box makes their job easier and more efficient.   That is why we are so happy to be able to deliver 33m of LEP and the fundamental tools in one box that weighs less than 10kg and can be fit in the trunk of a car. 1 box of ELLE™ Onshore = 1 turbine protected from erosion. We hope this will ease up logistics and installation for many of you!
