Revolutionizing Food This lecture will cover advancements in foodomics tools, the need for standardized food composition analysis, and the development of a global food composition database through the Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI). It will explore how AI is used to integrate data for sustainable agriculture, alternative proteins, and school feeding, aiming for data-driven solutions across food systems. Another topic will address the unsustainability of the current global food system and the need for new dietary patterns and technologies. This lecture will discuss the promise of microbial foods as substitutes for climate-heavy foods, sustainability models of the food value chain, and provide an example of a new microbial food.

Thank you for a great Genome Editing symposium! After two days of stimulating talks and discussions about off-target effects, CRISPR methodology, delivery issues, genetic engineering, loss of heterozygosity, we have met a lot of new people, got new inspiration, and as one participant wrote on slido "learned some stuff we should have known about". #crispr #conference

Data Science for planetary and human health – the true lifecycle of multi-omics data was the topic and name for a three day Science Cluster symposium taking place last week. The conference was packed with interesting talks, posters, discussions and networking with participants from different disciplines and across academia and industry. The symposium aimed to provide a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences in the field of FAIR data management and data science and will foster collaborations across disciplines. The main topics encompassed the full life cycle of research data including; · Data Management and Infrastructure · Data Analysis and Machine Learning · Data Visualization and Communication The symposium was organized within the format of a Cross-Cluster collaboration event to support interaction, synergy and knowledge sharing between the Science Cluster’s stakeholders, and to incite to cross-disciplinary, collaboration and innovation. The funding can be applied for by researchers from the Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Centers in collaboration with other research entities at universities, hospitals or industry. This particular event was successfully planned in collaboration with the scientific committee represented by Kasper Lage, Lea M. Sommer and Alberto Santos Delgado, in close collaboration with the expert panel; Shilpa Garg, Simon Rasmussen, Tune Pers, Richard Dennis, MLS, Jens Vinge Nygaard and Line Clemmensen representing the majority of the larger Novo Nordisk Foundation research centers. Thanks all involved participants for their talks, poster presentations and great engagement. A special thanks to Eleonora Nigro providing a creative way to display science communication by drawings.
