Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute | KAERI and Seaborg Technologies to collaborate on advancing next generation nuclear technologies 🤝 On Monday, KAERI and Seaborg APS signed an MOU on Molten Salt Reactor Development at the Danish ambassador's residence. Both organizations are working on the development of advanced nuclear systems, and the MOU allows them to combine their research and development strengths and resources. Seaborg, a floating nuclear power plant developer founded in 2014, is rethinking nuclear and working towards a future of abundant, affordable, low-emission energy available to all. KAERI has since its establishment in 1959 been the only research institute in Korea dedicated to research and technology development of nuclear energy. The government-funded research institute contributes to academic advancement, energy acquisition, and utilization of nuclear energy through active research and development in related fields. Svend Olling, The Danish Ambassador, Han Gyu Joo, President of KAERI and Klaus Nyengaard, Seaborg CEO, delivered welcome and congratulatory remarks, reflecting on the history of energy cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Denmark. They highlighted the significance of sustainable and innovative energy solutions and the role of nuclear power in achieving carbon neutrality ⚖ Innovation Centre Denmark Seoul #dkbiz #innovation #nucleartechnologies

Yesterday, Seaborg hosted a delegation from the Young Generation Sweden 2023. It is a program for young nuclear professionals to help them create a network within the industry and to exchange #knowledge between the older and the younger nuclear generations. Participants are divided into theme groups and participate in several site visits in #Europe. Seaborg had the pleasure to host a group from the Environment theme. They are interested in learning more about the developing of a #CMSR Power Barge concept fundamentally different from conventional #nuclear power plants, as well as how Seaborg is ensuring safe and environmentally friendly manufacturing. Thank you for your visit and for your curiosity into our technology! 💡

Thursday last week, Seaborg was invited to participate in the first ever public hearing about nuclear energy at The Danish Parliament - Folketinget. The hearing was intended to shed light on nuclear energy sources existing today including their potential and challenges, as well as the current development of new nuclear energy technologies in Denmark such as Seaborg’s Compact Molten Salt Reactor. The discussion included Danish and International professors, industry members from several countries and nuclear experts. The discussion revolved around the contribution of nuclear power to a green energy supply in Europe and globally, and for the first time in decades, to consider including nuclear as part of the CO2-free energy mix in Denmark to stabilize the intermittency of wind and solar energy. Our CEO Navid Samandari, was there to present our vision of producing a stable, reliable, and carbon-free energy source, as well as answer questions about the future of nuclear energy. He talked about the possibilities we hope to offer and of course the challenge of being a nuclear company in a country where the public may be pro-nuclear but the parliament is not. Yet 😊 We are happy to contribute to the public debate, and it is no secret we hope for an increasingly more open and positive view on nuclear energy in the future. We need all clean types of energy to work together if we are to fight climate change and reach net zero! #nuclearenergy #netzero #
