🏆 1st Prize for T.E.G Solutions that we developed for Syddansk Erhvervsskole - we just took home the prize at the International European Conference on Game-Based Learning (ECGBL) 2024 at the 18th Annual Conference. The judges said: "...T.E.G. Solution was a technically solid game with appealing graphics and an engaging backstory. The very interesting aspect of T.E.G. Solution approach is the collaborative element of the gameplay which involves kinaesthetic experiences in a classroom…" The game shows how young people by choosing relevant vocational education can become a part of the green transition while also educating them on the planetary boundaries model. The game takes a pro-active approach to the climate challenge, and shows that we can contribute and help bring the planet within its sustainable boundaries. Our CEO will be giving a talk on dilemma-based learning at the Danish Learning Day - a recurring yearly event [In Danish]. See program and get tickets here: https://lnkd.in/daYKp-EY. Dilemma is e a concept we over the years have come to see as one of the best and simplest constructs to think in when thinking of what makes a game engaging and educational - but also where to put the focus. Ultimately, games are often about interesting choices as legendary game designer Sid Meier would say - and where do you find these.. Often in a pure and simple form in good dilemmas, where you have to weigh the pros and cons of a given decision based on past events, and project potential futures. This is often also where the most important learning takes place. This is what our CEO Simon Egenfeldt-Nielsen will talk about based on the 20+ projects we did with the platform DiBL (⬅ ➡) (just before he leaves for GamesCom in Germany).

Looking forward to the official launch tomorrow in Odense, Denmark of a pretty nice ground breaking game on the planetary boundaries concept. Syddansk Erhvervsskole have carried the torch with a lot of people supporting including Stockholm Resilience Centre that is behind the concept planetary boundaries that play a critical role in the game. Soon this game will help show that vocational educations can play a key role in the green transition - and hopefully get more young people to consider that path. #climategame #seriousgames
Lanceringen af T.E.G. Solution nærmer sig! I sidste uge havde vi fornøjelsen af at afholde onboarding for facilitatorer, hvor partnerskoler og UU-vejledere dykkede ned i T.E.G. Solution-universet og prøvede kræfter med det helt nye og moderne lærings- og vejledningsspil. Fra introduktion til T.E.G. Solution-universet til opgaver på skoleniveau - dagen var fyldt med input, læring og forberedelse, så vi på bedste vis kan bringe det innovative lærings- og vejledningsspil ud i grundskolerne. Spillet er et supplement til den kollektive uddannelsesvejledning. Tak til alle de deltagende for gå-på-mod, engagement, input og ikke mindst evnen til at agere som elever i 7. og 8. klasse.
