After several years of dedication, two esteemed members of the Stilling® team, Emil Cnops Laursen, Head of Marketing, and Daniel Dam Christophersen, Sales Consultant, have decided to pursue new adventures.   We wish both Daniel and Emil all the best for the future and while it's never easy to say goodbye, we are proud of the journey we've shared and deeply grateful for their contributions, which have shaped our team and culture.   Every change brings new possibilities for growth, and we will continue our efforts and commitment to creating valuable sales opportunities for, and building meaningful relationships with, all our business partners.

We love seeing how colour enhances both aesthetics and accessibility in design, and the RAL COLOUR FEELING 2026+ palette is a brilliant tool for making bold choices. Our custom blue curtain track, shown below, is a perfect example of how we embrace colour at Stilling.

At Stilling®, we often receive questions from architects and designers about the best ways to create double-layered curtains, commonly known as "hotel curtains." These setups combine blackout fabrics with lightweight, transparent layers, delivering a sophisticated, functional design that enhances both privacy and light control. Here’s our quick take on the easiest ways to create perfect solutions:   Cornices have made a comeback in recent years, adding a clean, elegant finish to curtain installations. By using two separate tracks behind a bespoke cornice, you not only block out additional light but also create a sleek, polished look. Many designers now choose to paint or lacquer cornices in matching wall or ceiling colours for a seamless aesthetic.   Multi-track profiles are another efficient option for layered curtains. They save time and reduce handling during installation by integrating multiple gliding tracks into a single profile. This solution is ideal for straight installations, particularly when combining pleated and wave curtains.   For more custom or complex spaces, side-by-side tracks offer flexibility, allowing for bending and milling where needed. This classic approach provides ample room for layered curtains to function independently. Direct mounting also eliminates the need for visible brackets, ensuring a sleek finish. Today, we proudly release our 13th ambassador story featuring the talented artist Birgitte Due Madsen. Birgitte has selected Stilling® curtain tracks, made from 75% recycled aluminium, for her studio and showroom in Copenhagen. Custom-coloured in a bold, deep burgundy and minutely curved to mirror the geometric shapes of her artwork, these tracks take centre stage, becoming a key design element in her creative space.

In June, I joined Stilling as a Project Key Account Manager, responsible for developing the architect market. I’ll be the link between architects and our fantastic dealers. Thomas Riis Kristensen began his journey with Stilling in January 2021 under a flex job programme. He approached us with an unsolicited application, and we immediately knew he would be a great fit for our team. With a sharp eye for detail, determination, and a good sense of humor, Thomas—whom we fondly call Riis—quickly became an integral part of our technical department. He consistently delivers top-quality products and solutions, along with lots of jokes and anecdotes of more questionable quality. Thomas is not only a skilled professional but also a fantastic colleague, beloved by everyone for his positive attitude and willingness to help. We are delighted to announce that, as of October 1st, Thomas will transition from Brøndby Municipality's flex job programme to become a full-time employee at Stilling. That we can offer Thomas a permanent position is a tangible example of our commitment to building an inclusive workplace, where we create a secure and growth-oriented environment for both individuals and the team as a whole. Today marks what would have been the 100th birthday of our founder, Preben Stilling. Although he sadly passed away at just 46, his legacy continues to thrive. The company he built with passion and craftsmanship is now in the hands of the third generation of the Stilling family.   Rasmus Stillling-Schütz and Thomas Trads Hansen have taken up the torch, not only continuing in the same spirit of craftsmanship and innovation but also steering the company toward a more responsible future. Under their leadership, we have earned a B Corp certification and are pioneering the design of curtain tracks and accessories made from recycled materials.   Preben’s vision and values are very much alive in the work we do today, and we are proud to carry his legacy forward.
