Yesterday Emil had the pleasure of hosting the enthusiastic co-members of Young Comité Maritime International (yCMI) at our Copenhagen office. Young CMI, a branch of the Comité Maritime International for young legal professionals, organizes both social and professional events for its members, including collaborations with sister associations abroad. The focus is on knowledge sharing, partnerships, networking, having fun, visiting each other, and in general gaining a better understanding of the maritime industry and the related legislation. We, at Unifeeder, and as part of the wider DP World Group, are proud to announce that DP World has received its verification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for an ambitious emission reduction plan. The goal is to cut Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030. To meet our Group targets, and showcase the wider collaboration within DP World, we are dedicated to not only meeting but exceeding industry standards. Hence, Unifeeder has set the goal to cut scope 1 emissions by 47% by 2030*. Our strategy to reach our objective involves continuously improving vessel operations and deployment, adopting technical measures to decrease fuel consumption in our current fleet, and incorporating biofuels with lower GHG emissions. Additionally, we are investing in new tonnage that are designed to use alternative fuels and we are developing a fuel application plan for our entire fleet. FACT: The SBTi is a world leading authority in advancing private sector progress to reduce GHG emissions, helping prevent the impacts of climate change. 📢 Unifeeder logs highest market growth in intra-North Europe 📊 Alphaliner has calculated the market shares of each carrier offering regular intra-North European container services compared to a year ago. Unifeeder managed to achieve the highest market growth of all carriers in the intra-North European service segment over the past twelve months. ↗️ Unifeeder has overtaken CMA CGM and claims the second spot among North Europe’s largest operators. The Aarhus-based shortsea specialist has increased its market share from 12.8%, or just over 33,000 teu, a year ago to 15.1% today, equal to almost 38,000 teu. ℹ️ With 40 container ships deployed, Unifeeder now operates an additional six ships, while keeping its average vessel size at 950 teu. 🌐 Overall, intra-North European service capacity has plummeted by 3.5% or almost 10,000 teu compared to July 2023, as some mainline operators (MLOs) have either downsized or completely ceased some of their Northwest Continent-Baltic loops. ✅ Subscribe to the Alphaliner Weekly Newsletter for the latest news in Liner shipping at https://okt.to/4TxHQi.

LEADERSHIP TRANSITION AT UNIFEEDER After 34 dedicated years at Unifeeder, Jesper Kristensen, our Group CEO Unifeeder and Global COO Marine Services has decided to set sail for new adventures outside Unifeeder and DP World. Jesper has, however, agreed to remain as an active, non-executive, DP World representative to P&O Ferries, P&O Ferrymasters and P&O Maritime Logistics businesses for some months to come. Going forward, Martin Gaard Christiansen will assume the role of CEO at Unifeeder A/S, responsible for the business in Europe, Americas, and West/North Africa, and Ganesh Raj as CEO for Unifeeder FZCO, responsible for the business in Asia, Middle East, and Eastern/Southern parts of Africa. From a Unifeeder perspective, we are grateful for the invaluable contribution, incomparable dedication, energy and true Unifeeder DNA Jesper has brought to the company. At the same time, we look forward to continuing the Unifeeder journey with Martin and Ganesh.

FUEL EFFICIENCY AND REDUCED EMISSIONS! The Munksund vessel recently underwent drydock maintenance, including the application of Hempel A/S, HempaBlue silicone coating. FUEL SAVINGS & REDUCED EMISSIONS: The combination of HempaBlue coating and a thorough hull blast enhances fuel efficiency, contributing to lower operational costs and a greener footprint. We anticipate a significant reduction in fuel consumption compared to pre-docking levels. KEY FIGURES OF THE COATING: Friction Reduction: The coating minimizes frictional resistance and fouling, ensuring a smoother hull surface. Antifouling Properties: With improved antifouling characteristics, the vessel requires less frequent hull cleaning and maintenance. Icebelt Enhancement: Incorporating an Icebelt in the boottop area enhances the coating’s robustness, making it resistant to ice encounters—a crucial feature for feeder vessels. Enhanced Protection: The stronger coating provides better protection during berthing and fender interactions. OUTLOOK: These enhancements are expected to boost our CII rating and enhance our Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator (EEOI).
