Targets ✅ Declarations ✅ Climate goals ✅ Wind farms ❌ Turning our ambitions into actual wind farms means rethinking offshore wind auctions. Current mechanisms add too much financial risk upfront, instead of focusing on promoting project realisation and value creation. 2024, particularly, is a pivotal year - with an unprecedented volume of offshore wind up for auction. If ever there was a time for action, it’s now. Later is too late. www.vestas.com/action

Celebrating #WorldCleanupDay! We strive to embed sustainability into all our efforts. That includes raising awareness about waste prevention among our colleagues. Last year, our global team of 1,000+ people from more than 20 countries organised regional clean-up activities around World Cleanup Day. We’ll be there again this year! Our commitment to sustainability encompasses #circularity. We're proud to pioneer solutions such as our groundbreaking blade recycling technology - ending landfill for epoxy-infused turbine blades and marking progress on our journey to zero-waste turbines by 2040. In early 2024, we were awarded the prestigious JEC World Composite Innovation Award in the Renewable Energy category in collaboration with the CETEC project team (Teknologisk Institut, Olin, Aarhus University). We also look forward to continued collaboration with our strategic suppliers and delivering on our promise of sustainability in everything we do.

And the winner is...team Vestas! We've been awarded the EY and Dansk Erhverv Sustainability Award in the Value Chain category - recognising our leadership in driving sustainability and innovation within the wind energy sector. Thank you to the jury for this honour, and to our dedicated colleagues, supportive suppliers, and forward-thinking customers. Your commitment to sustainability and innovation makes a tangible difference. This recognition is a testament to: ◾ Our innovative solutions such as our low-emission steel offering, which enables substantial CO2e emissions reductions at turbine level, resulting in a 66% reduction per kilogram of steel compared to conventional steel production methods. ◾ Growing customer demand for more sustainable turbine solutions, and a willingness to invest in them, as demonstrated by our customers Baltic Power and Vattenfall ◾ Strong collaboration, with our value chain and suppliers such as ArcelorMittal and within Vestas. Together, we can shape our industry toward a sustainable future. Sign up to our sustainability newsletter and read more about low-emission steel here: https://brnw.ch/21wMOvU #EYSustainabilityAwards

A stable secure and resilient energy system, powered by renewables. That’s what we need to build, despite a complex external market.  Delivering on this shared objective needs strong collaboration. That was the key focus of our annual Vestas Leadership Forum (VLF), attended by our senior leaders.  “Despite market uncertainty, we must continue accelerating the energy transition. Collaboration is critical, both within Vestas and across the global energy landscape. If we succeed here, we can ensure that the wind industry delivers on its full potential to advance decarbonisation, create jobs and increase energy security”, said CEO Henrik Andersen. This year's VLF featured insights from speakers like Markus Krebber (CEO, RWE), Robert Maersk Uggla (CEO, A.P. Moller Holding), Martin Lundstedt (CEO, Volvo Group), Christina Grumstrup Soerensen, Torsten Lodberg Smed (Senior Partners, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners), Kevan Hall (author of ‘Making the Matrix Work’) and Anders Runevad (Chair of Vestas’ Board) Thank you to our guests for joining and sharing your perspectives.
