Our Key Account Manager, Julius Hamelmann, represented BIS at the first Insect Round Table in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, organized by the Research-Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) and the Institute for Animal Production MV 🌍💡 The event highlighted the growing interest in insects as an alternative protein source with representatives from agriculture, science, and authorities discussing the scientific, economic, and legal aspects of insect production combining #innovation, #bioeonomy and #sustainabledevelopment. BIS presented the #agtech solutions for black soldier fly farming developed within the #BigDutchman Group, and Julius Hamelmann addressed numerous questions from the participants on the subject of #insectfarming. Research views the #blacksoldierfly as a livestock animal with exceptional metabolism and high utilization efficiency - and insect farming has a growing economic significance, especially with changing agricultural structures🌱 The news of the event was broadcasted on German NDR 1 Radio MV.
