During the last year, we have leveraged our capabilities to support innovation and early-stage start-ups within quantum technology and quantum science. Today, we are excited to see that BioInnovation Institute (BII) and Villum Fonden launched a strategic collaboration to support promising start-ups within Power-to-X. At Deep Tech Lab—Quantum, we will play an important role in selecting the best projects from the 'Villum P2X Accelerator' at DTU - Technical University of Denmark and utilize our resources in another impactful field within deep tech innovation. “We are really looking forward to the opportunity to build upon the solid foundation provided by the projects that have been through the Villum Foundation’s P2X program as they transition to the start-up phase,” says Chief Business Officer at Deep Tech Lab – Quantum, Cathal J. Mahon The first two Power-to-X start-ups will join BII's Venture Lab program at the beginning of 2025. ➡ You can read more on BII's website here: https://bit.ly/3ZXF2Yo 🗞 More info in an article from Børsen here: https://bit.ly/4ezTbPE 📷 Photo credit: Esben Zøllner Olesen Lars Bo Nielsen Fredrik Skoglund Thomas Bjørnholm Jeanette Blom Anders Smith Marianne Thellersen Anders Overgaard Bjarklev Tine Hougaard Klitmøller Peter Vesborg Katrine Damkjær Jens Nielsen Markus Herrgård Jakob Svagin Raheesty Nishta Nem Anne Gladbo Platz Christian Brix Tillegreen Anders Østerby Mønsted Katrine Villarreal Villumsen Tine Roland Presterud

Today, we’re excited to celebrate Aquark Technologies as they secure a €5 Million investment to revolutionize critical GPS infrastructure! 🚀 Aquark has been a key part of the first NATO DIANA cohort here at Deep Tech Lab - Quantum, and we're beyond proud to see them become the first company to receive investment from the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), with key support from Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and other investors.💰 Aquark's cutting-edge quantum sensors are set to transform industries, providing precise, scalable, and robust solutions for GPS infrastructure – a critical need in today’s world. As Cathal J. Mahon, CBO of Deep Tech Lab - Quantum, puts it: "𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Today, we are celebrating our one-year anniversary 🎇 While we most often look to the future by describing quantum’s enabling potential to solve a range of challenges in societal resilience, planetary health, and human health, we will use this occasion to look a bit back. Within the past year we believe there are many results to be proud of: 🚀 Five quantum start-ups joined our Venture Lab program – DIASENSE, ArcanaBio, SQALE, Alea Quantum Technologies, and Phanofi. 🌎 Build an international investor network and an advisory group within quantum and deep tech. 💪 We successfully supported six companies in finalizing the first phase of NATO DIANA’s accelerator program. NATO selected ten companies from their accelerator sites to participate in phase 2. Four of the selected companies are based at BioInnovation Institute (BII). 💸 Aquark Technologies, part of the NATO DIANA accelerator at BII, was the first company to receive an investment from NATO Innovation Fund (NIF). 🏢 We hosted several high-profile visits from across the globe to showcase the potential of the Danish quantum ecosystem and industry. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without an outstanding collaboration with a lot of great stakeholders, such as Nordic BioVentures, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Forsvarsministeriet, Erhvervsministeriet, Udenrigsministeriet, DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, Aarhus Universitet, Aalborg Universitet, Danmarks Eksport- og Investeringsfond, DI - Dansk Industri, Invest in Denmark and Dansk Erhverv 📹 You can relive the official inauguration below Jens Nielsen Cathal J.
