Thus, this is no ordinary box--it represents a HUGE MILESTONE achieved through countless hours of work, creativity and incredible perseverance. 📣 News from FLSmidth Cement land! We are excited to be the project manager and scale-up partner on the new ECem research project into advanced electric limestone calcination technologies. Backed by DKK21 million in funding from the Danish Innovation Fund, the new project will target commercialising two electric calcination technologies compatible with large-scale carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS). The targeted technologies will deliver process heat via infrared or inductive heating. The next step is to explore these options at the prototype level, creating a possible pathway for pilot path demonstration. The ECem vision is “nothing short of a revolution in cement production,” commented FLSmidth Cement president, Christopher Ashworth. “We are delighted to collaborate with some world-class project partners, including the Danish Technological Institute, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Aalborg University, Cementos Argos, and European Energy, in bringing this vision into reality.” Read the full press release here 👉 👉 https://bit.ly/42ilU8E

Strengthening our position in China We are pleased to announce a strategic licensing agreement with Sinoma International Intelligent Technology (IIT) covering the production and sale of QCX lab equipment in China. “The deal effectively provides us a new sales channel and represents our continued commitment to enhancing our services in the world’s largest cement market,” said Cyril Leung, country head, China. All QCX equipment that we supply outside of China will continue to be made in Brno, Czech Republic, which maintains its critical role in delivering our Automation offerings. Development and delivery of QCX software will remain in Denmark. The agreement has no impact on the ongoing divestment of FLSmidth Cement.

The initial contract dates back to 2008 with the scope evolving and expanding as time has passed.
