Henriette Liis Meeliste and Ehe Kaldmaa received the Corpore scholarship Every year, Corpore offers a scholarship to communication students of the University of Tartu to continue and promote their studies. This year, two students received the Corpore scholarship: Henriette Liis Meeliste and Ehe Kaldmaa. The scholarship is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students studying journalism and communication. Henriette Liis Meeliste graduated cum laude from the University of Tartu with a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication with a minor in economics. "Receiving the Corpore communication scholarship is a sign that I am on the right path," Meeliste described her own thoughts on receiving the scholarship. "I have found a major and a field that makes my eyes shine. It's nice that this contribution from the heart has been noticed from the outside as well. Thanks to the scholarship, I can implement a dream that has been sitting in the back of my head for so long," Henriette hints at her desire to gain international experience in the field of communication. Ehe Kaldmaa is a 2nd-year student of the integrated study of medicine in the field of medical sciences at the University of Tartu, who also graduated this spring with a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication with a minor in economics. He emphasizes the importance of the scholarship: "Receiving a scholarship is, in addition to personal recognition, a sign of the ever-growing need and strengths of interweaving several fields." "Thanks to the scholarship, I can combine medical science and communication," said Ehe, because this summer she is going to improve her professional knowledge in medical science in West Africa. "It provides an excellent opportunity to share both experiences and information about West African cultures and the medical system," the fellow describes his next plans. The Corpore scholarship makes a significant contribution to the development of communication majors at the University of Tartu by providing them with financial support and recognition. It motivates students to continue their journey to achieve their professional and personal goals.

💡 How to communicate financial results when going gets tough? This was the topic in front of the distinguished audience at #Pärnu_Finantskonverents 2024. Yours truly had the honor to share the stage with Karita Sall from Veriff. Together we went through many aspects of conveying messages when organizations are facing challenges. Many thanks to Villu Zirnask and Finantsuudised for the invitation to speak and to the moderator Kaarel Ots for steering the two-day event! 📸 Raul Mee (source: finantsuudised.ee).

Meet the team 👇🏻 Henry's journey with Corpore began in the summer of 2018, stepping into the public relations field as an intern. Coming from a background in political science and economics, he found himself in unfamiliar territory. Yet, by 2019, after a couple more internships and a steep learning curve, he became a full-time member of the Corpore family. For him, it's been a path filled with growth 📈 and unexpected opportunities. Working in PR, especially on public affairs projects, has opened his eyes to the intricacies of communicating in a complex world. Every client and project brings its own set of challenges, from navigating the nuances of pharmaceuticals to the fast-paced world of consumer electronics, fintech, IPOs, and bond issues. His foray into digital strategies, particularly in crafting compelling social media narratives, has allowed him to blend creativity with strategic communication on many occasions. Outside the office, Henry's life is a blend of personal passions and hobbies. From rigorous workouts at the gym and delving into mostly non-fiction books 📚 to exploring obscure knowledge online and DJing at local speakeasies and private events, these activities provide a creative outlet and balance to his professional life. One memorable day encapsulates the diversity of Henry's role: transitioning from a critical meeting on a public affairs project to rushing through the rain 🌧️ to deliver cat litter to a local celebrity’s home for a social media campaign. It's these moments, filled with unpredictability and a hint of surrealism, that highlight the dynamic nature of PR. Reflecting on his time at Corpore, it's the continuous learning and the breadth of experiences, from public affairs to digital storytelling, that Henry values. Each day offers new challenges and opportunities for growth, making this journey not just a job, but a passion. Also, the coffee ☕. The coffee is excellent…

Meet the team 👇🏻 Literally, it all started with a bang 💥, exactly 14 years before Janno joined Corpore in 2007. Because on 26 August 1993, amid underworld battles of that era, an explosive device went off at the Vabaduse Square in Tallinn. It happened next to the ticket office of Estonian Air, that time the flag carrier of Estonia. Needless to say, the media spotlight was on the airline, which was a real-life test for Janno, that time a rookie press secretary of Estonian Air. Later it turned out that the ticket office was a collateral damage, but who cared. However, it just increased Janno’s appetite for communication challenges and he has found plenty of them during the career which has spanned over 30 years by now.   Already in the sixth grade, Janno wanted to become a journalist – because he wasn’t aware of PR back then. During his studies at University of Tartu, obtaining BA in German studies, he developed an interest for the media and later graduated with MA in Mass Communication. 👨🏻🎓 Prior to joining Corpore, Janno completed a six-year tenure as the head of the PR office of the Central Bank of Estonia, including one-year secondment at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. His agency experience started in 1995 as a consultant in Hill & Knowlton’s Tallinn’s office, preceded by the abovementioned duties at Estonian Air.   As said, Janno has belonged to the Team Corpore since August 2007, having since then pursued his career across a whole spectrum of PR disciplines, from corporate and financial communication to research and training. Janno has worked with dozens of clients - local and international organizations.      During his spare time, Janno – a father of two – enjoys family life, outdoors and travels. Having witnessed and supported the birth of the Estonian club culture, Janno is keen to discover new music, his eclectic tastes ranging from techno and synth pop to world music and reggae. 💿 📸: Krõõt Tarkmeel
