The EU2Youth Vol. 2 project was an immersive youth exchange hosted in Kaunas from 31/05—08/06, 2024, aimed at enhancing youth awareness and engagement with European democratic processes. This Youth Exchange was Organised by Mano Europa and co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, bringing together young participants from various European countries to simulate the workings of the European Parliament, learn about the European elections and voting processes, and foster a deeper understanding of their roles within the European Union. 📍Objectives —Raise Awareness on European Elections: Educate participants on the importance of European elections and the voting process. —Simulate European Parliament: Provide a hands-on experience of the European Parliament's functioning. —Encourage Youth Engagement: Promote active participation of youth in European democratic processes. —Foster Cross-Cultural Understanding: Encourage intercultural dialogue and collaboration among European youth. ✅Key Activities ✨European Parliament Simulation: - Participants were divided into groups representing different political parties. - They engaged in debates, drafted legislation, and voted on various policies. - The simulation provided practical insights into the legislative process of the European Parliament. ✨Youth Engagement Activities: - Discussions and workshops focused on the importance of youth participation in democratic processes. - Strategies were shared on how young people can actively contribute to shaping European policies. ✨Cultural Exchange and Networking: - Social events and cultural evenings allowed participants to share their cultural backgrounds. - Networking sessions facilitated connections between participants, fostering a sense of European unity and cooperation.

Project Summary: Non Formal Lab Theatre Edition 🌍 Overview: “Non Formal Lab Theatre Edition” was a training course held in Presenzano (Caserta), Italy, from May 2nd to May 8th. This training course aimed to promote civic engagement and participation through non-formal education (NFE) methodologies and theatre. Participants explored various educational approaches, the challenges of working with culturally diverse groups, and how these methods can inspire action and foster positive change within their communities, creating an experiential and inclusive learning environment. 🌟 Key Activities: — Understanding the principles and importance of NFE in daily work with youth. — Exploring elements and characteristics of different educational approaches and models related to theatre. — Developing and strengthening youth workers' competences in designing and delivering NFE activities focused on theatre. — Providing participants with resources and opportunities to experiment with different kinds of NFE and theatre methods. — Stimulating the exchange of good practices at the European level among NGOs. ✨ Outcomes: ✅Enhanced NFE Integration: Improved ability to integrate NFE principles into youth work. ✅Innovative Theatre Use: Developed new approaches for using theatre as an educational tool. ✅Improved Inclusivity: Greater skills in addressing cultural diversity in educational activities. ✅Strengthened NGO Collaboration: Established a strong network for future projects. ✅Empowered Local Implementation: Increased capacity to adapt and implement NFE and theatre methods locally. EUnexus and I are thrilled to share that our project "Empowering Young Leaders in European Democracy - EYLEAD," has been approved by the European Commission with a budget of 34,596 Euros! 🇪🇺✨ The project will take place in Estonia, where we'll bring together 36 young change-makers from 6 countries (Estonia 🇪🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, Spain 🇪🇸, Croatia 🇭🇷, Poland 🇵🇱, Latvia 🇱🇻) for an 8-day exchange program. The project objectives include; providing participants with a comprehensive knowledge of EU institutions, their functions, and the electoral process with a particular emphasis on increasing youth engagement in the democratic processes. The program will equip participants with effective strategies for engaging with policymakers and establishing sustainable mechanisms for ongoing involvement in EU affairs. It will also nurture a network of informed young leaders, cultivate critical thinking and media literacy, and enhance participants' capacity to influence EU policies and initiatives. Project Summary: Pixar Storytelling Tools for Active Participation. 🌍 Overview: “Pixar Storytelling Tools for Active Participation” was a Youth Exchange held in Avis, Portugal, from April 15th to April 23rd, 2024. This Youth Exchange aimed to promote civic engagement and participation by harnessing the power of storytelling. Drawing inspiration from storytelling techniques, participants explored how narratives can inspire action and foster positive change within communities. 🌟 Key Activities: —Exploration of Pixar’s storytelling principles and their application to real-life scenarios, emphasizing the importance of compelling narratives in driving engagement. —Hands-on workshops and exercises to develop storytelling skills, including character development, plot structuring, and emotional resonance. —Collaborative creation of impactful stories addressing local issues and initiatives, with a focus on empowering participants to become active agents of change. ✨ Outcomes: ✅ Enhanced storytelling abilities among participants, equipping them with powerful tools to effectively communicate ideas and inspire action. ✅ Increased awareness of the role of storytelling in promoting civic engagement and participation, with participants gaining insights into how narratives can mobilize communities towards positive change. ✅ Strengthened connections and collaboration among participants, fostering a supportive network of individuals passionate about making a difference in their communities. ✅ A renewed sense of motivation and empowerment among participants, driven by the belief in their ability to use storytelling as a catalyst for active participation and meaningful impact.
