Frankenburg Technologies is funding the high power amateur rocket team at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) (RTU) to develop innovative, cost-efficient launch solutions for near-space missions. By investing in the next generation of Latvian engineers and scientists, this partnership bridges academia and industry further – accelerating rocket technology research and strengthening our shared defence tech ecosystem. “We are very enthusiastic about supporting students, thereby investing in Latvia’s future engineers and scientists and strengthening the link between higher education and industry,” says Frankenburg CTO Andrejs Puķītis. The RTU team is currently building a stratospherical rocket platform intended for medical experiments in microgravity, marking a major step forward in near-space research and advanced scientific applications. #wintech #rocketscience #airdefence #protectingtheskies #defenceindustry

Frankenburg Expands to Lithuania and Appoints Former Vice-Minister as Managing Director It’s official—Frankenburg will open an office in Lithuania to expand the development and manufacturing of affordable missiles. This move establishes Frankenburg as a true Baltic defence tech company. Mr. Karolis Žemaitis is appointed as the Managing Director of Frankenburg Technologies UAB. Mr. Žemaitis is the former Vice-Minister of the Economy and Innovation of Lithuania. He played a key role in reforming Lithuania's defence industry and FDI legislation, attracting major investments like Rheinmetall. With extensive experience in startup ecosystem development and a degree from Oxford’s Saïd Business School, Karolis brings valuable expertise to drive growth and innovation at Frankenburg. At Frankenburg, he will be responsible for fulfilling the mission of building technologies to help Lithuania win the war—attracting talent, developing affordable missile systems, and expanding manufacturing to strengthen Lithuania's national defence. “Frankenburg is a European company by design, but our roots are where the threat and will to act are the strongest—in the Baltic states. Karolis will be a perfect fit to combine protecting the country while advancing the economy in Lithuania,” said Mr. Kusti Salm, CEO of Frankenburg. “Lithuania has already established itself as a stronghold of innovation and industrial development. Now is the time to unite our efforts and accelerate the defence tech ecosystem,” said Mr. Karolis Žemaitis. Frankenburg, founded in 2024, is a European defence technology company operating in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the UK, and Ukraine. It is expanding at a growing pace, focusing on developing and producing affordable, mass-manufactured missiles. #wintech #rocketscience #airdefence #protectingtheskies #defenceindustry #defencetech
