About us

Scandagra Estonia is the largest feeds producer, and one of the largest providers of agricultural supplies and services in Estonia. Scandagra Estonia began its activity in 1993. Formely Farm Plant Eesti AS, the Company operates under its current name since 2013. It is part of Scandagra Group, jointly owned by the largest Swedish cooperative Lantmännen, and Danish cooperative DLG. Since 2010, the Company owns the largest agricultural store chain in the country. The company is engaged in the production and sale of animal feed, the purchase and sale of fertilizers, plant protection products, the purchase and sale of grain, rapeseed, seeds and silage accessories, the wholesale and retail trade of agricultural accessories. Our main units are located in Viljandi, Elva, Keila, Tartu, Näpi and Laupa. Currently, Scandagra Eesti AS has a total of 7 stores across Estonia, which offer a range of products for the farm, field and garden.

    Scandagra Estonia HR Team attended the HR EXPO event 🚀, organized by the Estonian HR Society. This event brought together HR enthusiasts who aimed to explore modern products and services, as well as stay informed about key topics relevant for the future. The range of topics was broad and covered: 🔸 Personality and work environment; 🔸 Artificial intelligence; 🔸 Mental health; 🔸 Employer branding; 🔸 RPA (Robotic Process Automation); 🔸 Law, etc.   Key takeaways to remember: ✔️ for successful relationships, we do not need to change ourselves or others, but to be able to adapt to different personality types; ✔️ prevention is crucial for mental health disorders; ✔️ focusing on the candidate experience in recruiting saves both money and time and can significantly increase positive brand image; ✔️ employee experience as a competitive advantage; ✔️ artificial intelligence as a key competence of the future; ✔️ compound interest as the eighth wonder of the world and how the habit of saving exemplifies it.   It was an incredibly exciting and knowledge-filled day ✨, with many new ideas arising on how to apply these insights in our work environment.   Estonian HR Society: https://lnkd.in/dRQH9kFw #togetherwecandoalot

    💭 Did you know that you could be handed a business card that says "Mickey Mouse, vice president"? 🤔 Or why does Coca Cola's product portfolio include yellow Inca Kola, which should be like cola, but it certainly doesn't taste like it? Or what is the success of Southwest Airlines? These and other questions received a strategic answer in cooperation with Pierre Dussauge, professor of strategic management, who spoke and discussed with Scandagara's Baltic units and Group managers on strategy topics for two days. There were examples both from us and from other places, and based on them it became clear: ▪️ the importance of strategy; ▪️ what is strategy and what is not; ▪️ market share and industry importance; ▪️ value creation; ▪️ cost and Willingness-to-Pay ratio; ▪️ mergers, takeovers and mergers. And many more. This training is part of Scandagra Group's 3-year training program in cooperation with BMI Executive Institute, which is divided into 12 training modules. The training program was given a start in 2023. Over the course of three years, topics such as managing yourself and others, the basics of business and finance, and building sustainable companies and teams are covered.     Scandagra Estonia - 30 years of smart solutions for the farmers! 🎉 Quoting Margus Venelaine, CEO of Scandagra Estonia… “Scandagra, then Farm Plant Estonia, was established in 1993. New animal feed additives were imported here, and it was probably impossible to imagine where Scandagra and Estonian agriculture would end up in 30 years. Development has taken place step by step, together with our customers, i.e. farmers. We were born into an interesting and rapidly changing time. The world opened up, the Estonian kroon had just arrived, prices rose 10 times in a year, Russian troops were still in Estonia. However, they took bold steps, were hardworking, optimistic and felt happy about small progress. I wish the same energy and the spirit of the 90s to today's Scandagra, to our customers and partners, to the entire Scandagra community. A lot has been done, but today is the first day of the future - long live Scandagra!" A big thank you to our customers and partners who have been part of this special journey.
