It is important to check your house drainage systems and ensure they are built correctly. Incorrect and old drainage systems can cause significant damage and risks, threatening the integrity of the building and the people living there. 🏠 🚩 Customer’s problem: The customer's home drainage system was built incorrectly and did not function properly. As a result, the movement of the groundwater started to subside the floors around the house. Our expert investigated, and it was determined that the subsoil beneath the floor slabs was moist. The building was a semi-detached house, and the same problem was noticed in the other half of the building. To ensure the best outcome for the customer our expert agreed to do the job after the drainage system was repaired and the subsoil had dried. 💡 Solution with URETEK technology: Before the work started, the sewer pipes were inspected, and the subsoil was checked to ensure a successful completion. Our URETEK Baltic technical team lifted the floor slabs from outside the house, and process monitoring and guidance were conducted inside the building. ✅ URETEK geopolymer resin was injected into the subsoil which lifted the floors to its original height. 🗣️ ''Is it possible to repair floor subsidence without risking damage to my floor heating system?’’ At URETEK Baltic, precision is the key to ensuring effective and safe solutions for floor subsidence, especially when floor heating systems are involved. 👷♂️ Here’s how we do it with URETEK technology: 1. Before starting the work, we ask the customer to turn off the floor heating system for a couple of days. 2. When our technical team arrives, the heating system is switched back on, enabling the use of a professional thermal camera to locate the heating pipes under the floor. 3. Based on the thermal image results, small 14 mm diameter holes are carefully drilled into the floor. 4. Through these openings, we inject our patented geopolymer resin, which expands and hardens within moments. This process effectively stops subsidence and restores the floor or foundation to its original height with an accuracy of ±1mm. ✅ As a result, a stable, re-levelled floor and a heating system that remains intact. Maintaining a stable and safe environment in supermarkets is essential for both customers and employees. This created a safety and operational risk for the store and customers. 🚧 A long-lasting solution to a subsided driveway. In the centre of Tallinn, on a road section with heavy traffic, a soil subsidence under the roadway was detected. One of the most recognized communications developer turned to the specialists of URETEK Baltic with a problem in order to find a long-lasting solution for soil stabilization. Our technical team sealed the gaps in the soil, restored its bearing capacity and stopped the subsidence. Did you know that even apartment building staircases can subside and cause risk to the building and people living in there? 🏠 When the cracks start to appear on the walls it is time to contact a specialist to solve this subsidence problem. 🚩 Customer´s problem: The staircase of the apartment building began to subside. It was caused by the rainwater washing away fine particles in the subsoil, damaging the soil's bearing capacity. This caused cracks in the interior walls of the staircase and partial separation at the stair joints. Future subsidence could have caused a risk where the staircase leading to the second floor would become unsafe to use. 💡 To solve this problem, our technical team injected patented URETEK geopolymer resin into the foundation of the supporting walls which were subsided and lifted the foundation back to its original height.
