The EUG team had the honor of meeting H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, along with senior executives from the EGPC Group and SLB, at the Ministry of Petroleum premises on October 10. Eng. Karim Badawi emphasized that “The mission of EUG goes beyond data bank it represents the upstream business platforms that will help attracting new investments. He also stressed the importance of fully leveraging advanced technologies and AI tools to unlock new opportunities and enhance decision-making processes. Additionally, he noted that EUG could play a significant role in the future by unlocking the potential of other energy sources, such as geothermal.” Moreover, a presentation by Mohamed Radwan, EUG Project Manager - MOP, and Claudio Leone, EUG Project Manager - SLB. They outlined the key milestones of the project, highlighted ongoing activities, and discussed the way forward. The EUG team would like to express its deep gratitude to the Minister for his continued support and leadership. His unwavering encouragement since the project's inception has been pivotal to its success. We are excited to further strengthen the impact of the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) in attracting international investments.

The 6th of October Victory ✌

In alignment with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' vision to attract new investments in the upstream sector, H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inaugurated a workshop attended by Egyptian business leaders, service companies, and several local entities, all guided by distinguished entrepreneurs with a proven track record in the oil and exploration industry. During the workshop, 61 investment opportunities in exploration and production were presented, fostering discussions on potential collaborations between business leaders across various industries and the petroleum sector. The initiative was met with enthusiastic support from Egyptian business leaders, who expressed a strong interest in contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing Egypt's oil production capabilities. The EUG team will play a pivotal role in supporting this initiative, working to expedite decision-making processes and highlighting the expected return on investment rates. #upstream #oil #gas

H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, officially inaugurated an event organized by the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) on September 24th, titled “Discover the Potential of the Mediterranean.” The workshop focused on promoting and showcasing the latest international bid round launched by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), which offers 12 onshore and offshore blocks for natural gas exploration and production in the Mediterranean Sea and Nile Delta. The event attracted participation from over 25 international and Egyptian exploration and production companies, along with numerous leaders from the petroleum sector. Additionally, technical sessions provided an in-depth overview of both onshore and offshore exploration opportunities, key terms and conditions, as well as the functionalities of the EUG portal and bid round module, aimed at guiding and supporting potential investors in making informed decisions. It’s worth mentioning that, EUG has launched its eighth international digital bid round, and through the 7 previous bid rounds, a total of 25 blocks have been awarded, achieving a 45.4% success rate.the total attracted investments have exceeded $1 billion. افتتح السيد المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، ورشة العمل التى نظمتها بوابة مصر للاستكشاف والإنتاج (EUG) في 24 سبتمبر، تحت عنوان "استكشف إمكانات البحر المتوسط". تهدف الورشة إلي الترويج والتسويق للمزايده العالمية التى أطلقتها الشركة المصرية القابضة للغازات الطبيعية (إيجاس)، ل 12 قطاعا بريا وبحريا للبحث عن البترول والغاز بالبحر المتوسط ودلتا النيل. وقد شهدت ورشة العمل مشاركة أكثر من 25 شركة دولية ومصرية تعمل في مجال البحث و الاستكشاف والإنتاج، إلى جانب عدد كبير من قادة قطاع البترول. كما تضمنت ايضاً الجلسات الفنية عرضًا لفرص الاستكشافية لقطاعات المزايده بالإضافة إلى عرضا آخر يتضمن الشروط الفنية الخاصة بالمزايدة والبنود التى تم تعديلها ، بهدف توجيه ودعم المستثمرين المحتملين لاتخاذ قرارات مستنيرة. وجديرا بالذكر أن بوابة مصر للاستكشاف والإنتاج قد أطلقت المزايده الرقمية العالمية الثامنة ، ومن خلال ٧ مزايدات السابقة، تم ترسية إجمالي 25 منطقة، محققةً نسبة نجاح بلغت 45.4%.بإجمالى استثمارات يصل حدها الأدنى إلى مليار دولار .

Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) had the privilege of presenting at the SLB Forum 2024 in Monaco!  on topic, "Revolutionizing Egypt's Upstream Gateway using AI Solutions: Unleashing the Power of Smart Decision-Making in Exploration and Production”. The presentation focused on how imlemented AI-driven solutions are transforming the exploration and production landscape by providing sophisticated, data-driven decision-making tools. In addition, EUG presented a technical poster titled “ automation and machine learning for prospectivity analysis. This Case study conducted in the onshore Nile Delta, showcased how the adoption of these technologies for seismic interpretation delivered reliable results in just one month.
