𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭’𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫! The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources - Egypt is offering new opportunities through two distinctive programs: 𝟏- 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬: There are 12 blocks available in the Mediterranean and Nile Delta. Interested companies can participate by following standard bidding procedures. 𝟐- 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐏): This program allows companies to select from the available exploration blocks and brownfields. Before bidding, companies can request physical or virtual data room access for block evaluation. Once interest is expressed, bidding opens for a set period, allowing additional bids. خلال اجتماع مجلس الوزراء :      أشار رئيس مجلس الوزراء إلى ضرورة العمل المتواصل على تنمية الاستكشافات البترولية والغازية، وذلك من خلال الاستفادة من "بوابة مصر للاستكشاف والإنتاج"، والتي تعد أول منصة رقمية لجذب الاستثمارات في مجال البحث والاستكشاف، موجها بالتوسع في طرح المزايدات الرقمية في مناطق الاستكشاف المختلفة وزيادة مستويات جاذبية الأنظمة المالية؛ لتكون أكثر تنافسية وقدرة على جذب الشركات العالمية، من أجل استقطاب المزيد من الشركات وتشجيع الشركات القائمة على ضخ استثمارات جديدة، كما كلف بمواصلة الجهود المبذولة من أجل زيادة إنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقات الجديدة والمتجددة. During the recent Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly underscored the importance of accelerating the exploration activities and the development of oil and gas discoveries. He emphasized the need to fully utilize the "𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐲" (𝐄𝐔𝐆), Egypt's pioneering digital platform established to attract investments in exploration and production. He called for an expansion of digital bid rounds across various exploration areas and urged for the enhancement of commercial models to make them more appealing and competitive, thereby attracting more international companies and encouraging further investment from existing ones. Additionally, he directed the continuation of efforts to increase electricity generation from new and renewable energy sources.

Following up on his Excellency's meeting with Exploration Management, EUG is proactively working on preparing new bid rounds with new approach to attract new investments to Egypt Upstream business. This reflects Ministry progressive vision to simplify the investments procedures and applying new approaches like the 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐏). H.E. Kareem Badawi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, presented the ministry's statement in front of the parliamentary committee.  In his statement, H.E. highlighted a plan to introduce new incentives for current and future opportunities, such as unconventional reservoirs, for attracting new investments. Additionally, the plan aims to continuously offer new areas to international companies using a new methodology, making opportunities available to investors throughout the year via Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG).  Furthermore, the plan includes intensifying technical workshops to exchange expertise and technologies with global companies and amending procedures and legislation to align with global market requirements.
