We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PR and Strategic Communications Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that strengthens our brand reputation, attracts high-potential founders, and elevates the visibility of our firm and portfolio companies within the investment and entrepreneurial communities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with the firm's overall business objectives.
- Manage media relations, including pitching stories to relevant publications, building relationships with journalists, and securing positive media coverage for the firm and its portfolio companies.
- Create and manage compelling content, including press releases, blog posts, social media content, and thought leadership pieces, showcasing the firm's expertise and investment thesis.
- Spearhead internal communications, keeping employees informed about firm news, industry trends, and portfolio company updates.
- Support portfolio companies with their own PR and communications needs, providing guidance and resources.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of communications efforts, measuring success through KPIs and adapting strategies as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in PR and communications.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on new communication opportunities.
- Manage external vendors and consultants as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in PR and communications, ideally within the technology or financial services industries.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling content.
- Excellent media relations experience, with a strong network of journalists and industry contacts.
- Deep understanding of the venture capital landscape and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Experience working with social media and other digital communication channels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, be proactive, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
