A decrease of 1.9% year-on-year in global crude steel production was recorded for the first 9M of 2024, with almost all regions following the same trend, with the exception of Africa which recorded a 2.3% increase and Europe which recorded a 3.01% increase, also Egypt’s crude steel production in the first 9M increased by 6.5% to reach 7.9 million tons. انخفاض في الإنتاج العالمي للصلب الخام بقيمة 1.9% على أساس سنوي لأول 9 أشهر من عام 2024، حيث سجلت معظم المناطق انخفاض على أساس سنوي باستثناء أفريقيا التي سجلت زيادة مقدارها 2.3%، وأوروبا التي سجلت زيادة مقدارها 3.01%. كما سجل إنتاج مصر من الصلب الخام لأول 9 أشهر زيادة بمعدل 6.5% على أساس سنوي حيث سجلت مصر 7.9 مليون طن.

A slight recovery on an annual basis in Egypt’s rebar consumption, with a stronger increase in rebar production registered for 9M 2024, supported by increased export activity to record production of 6.4 million tons, and consumption of 4.8 million tons for the same 9 Months, compared to the first 9M of 2023, which recorded a production of 5.7 million tons and a consumption of 4.6 million tons but it is much lower than the 9M of 2022, which recorded production of 6.4 million tons and consumption of 6 million tons. تحسن طفيف على أساس سنوي في استهلاك حديد التسليح في مصر، مع زيادة قوية في إنتاج حديد التسليح المسجل لأول 9 أشهر من عام 2024، مدعومًا بزيادة نشاط التصدير ليسجل الإنتاج 6.4 مليون طن كما سجل الاستهلاك 4.8 مليون طن لنفس 9 أشهر مقارنة بأول 9 أشهر من عام 2023 الذي سجل إنتاج 5.7 مليون طن و استهلاك 4.6 مليون طن لكنه أقل من أول 9 أشهر من عام 2022 الذي سجل إنتاج 6.4 مليون طن واستهلاك 6 مليون طن .

The steel industry accounts for around 7% of global CO2 emissions. تفتخر المراكبى للصلب بحصولها على تجديد شارة منظمة الصلب العالمية للعمل المناخي لعام 2023 بعد ان حصلنا عليها في عام 2022 حيث تُعد شارة منظمة الصلب العالمية للعمل المناخي شهادة قيمة تُكرّم شركات الصلب والاعتراف بجهودهم للحد من البصمة الكربونية ومكافحة تغير المناخ وتعد كذلك ميزة تنافسية في السوق وزيادة الوصول إلى رأس المال وفرص الاستثمار وتشجيع الموظفين على الابتكار. وإنها طريقة لتشجيع الابتكار والاستثمار في التقنيات منخفضة الكربون وخلق مستقبل أكثر استدامة لصناعة الصلب. وخطوة مهمة في رحلة صناعة الصلب لتصبح أكثر استدامة، حيث تمثل الانبعاثات الكربونية من صناعة الصلب حوالي 7٪ من انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون العالمية.

From the Arab Steel Summit in Qatar, moments of recognition were given to Dr. Mostafa Rashad for winning an award for his research on the development of the rolling process at elmarakbysteel. Additionally, Eng. Hassan El Marakby, CEO, was honored for the company's dedication to scientific research under his leadership. Congratulations to the CEO and all contributors to this research, as well as all elmarakbysteel's family. We also extend our congratulations to the other winning research projects, which were presented by esteemed Egyptian colleagues from Hadeed in Saudi Arabia and Ezz Steel in Egypt. This is a great source of pride for the Egyptian steel community. We are glad to have in our plants the delegates from SSMO , sudanese standards and metrology organization and CIS Commodity Inspection Services , to know about the procedures for product export, quality control policies, and testing processes. Given elmarakbysteel's extensive experience in exporting to neighbouring Arab countries in recent years. The visit also explored potential avenues for future cooperation between the organization and elmarakbysteel, and the visitors expressed their appreciation for the latest technology and capabilities at elmarakbysteel, stating that the elmarakbysteel factories were among the best they had visited in Egypt. They praised the quality control system and testing laboratories accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. جانب من زيارة الهيئة السودانية للمواصفات والمقاييس وشركة سى آي اس – ايجيبت لمصانع المراكبى للصلب للتعرف علي الاجراءات المتخذة في المصانع فيما يتعلق بتصدير المنتجات وسياسة ضبط الجودة وإجراء الإختبارات، نظرا لما للمراكبي للصلب من باع كبير في التصدير للأشقاء في معظم الدول العربية المحيطة خلال الاعوام السابقة. كما تطرقت الزيارة إلى دراسة سبل التعاون بين الهيئة والمراكبي للصلب في المستقبل، كما أعرب الزائرون عن اعجابهم باحدث التكنولوجيا والامكانيات الموجودة وأفادوا بأن مصانع المراكبى للصلب من أفضل المصانع التى تمت زيارتها فى مصر حيث أثنوا على منظومة مراقبة الجودة ومعامل الاختبارات المعتمدة من المجلس الوطني للاعتماد (EGAC) طبقاً للمواصفة الدولية ISO/IEC 17025:2017

In line with elmarakbysteel's commitment to adhering to competitive strategy standards in the steel sector, the company attended a special seminar titled "Attracting Investments and Opening Markets: Egypt’s Competition Protection Strategy and Merger Control Policy" The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Moumtaz the Chairman of the Egyptian Competition Authority. The seminar was attended by Our Board Member, Sales Director, and Finance Manager. The seminar was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. في إطار التزام شركة المراكبي للصلب بمعايير الاستراتيجية التنافسية في قطاع الصلب، من خلال ندوة خاصة بعنوان "جذب الاستثمارات وفتح الأسواق: استراتيجية حماية المنافسة وسياسة مراقبة الاندماجات في مصر" ألقاها الدكتور محمود ممتاز رئيس جهاز حماية المنافسة ومنع الممارسات الاحتكارية، وحضر الندوة كل من السادة عضو مجلس الإدارة ورئيس قطاع المبيعات والمدير المالى بالمراكبى للصلب، وقد نظمت الندوة من قبل الغرفة التجارية الأمريكية في مصر.

Based on elmarakbysteel’s belief in social responsibility and the important role played by training students in steel production in developing skills and capabilities, we would like to celebrate the beginning of training the first batch of Elsewedy Technical Academy - STA elmarakbysteel and Elsewedy Technical Academy - STA , in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, will provide a training program for 20 students in steel production. The students joined the training program today for a period of three years, and the practical training will take place at elmarakby's factories in 6th of October City. انطلاقا من ايمان المراكبى للصلب بالمسؤولية المجتمعية والدور الهام الذي يلعبه تدريب الطلبة فى مجال إنتاج الصلب في تطوير المهارات والقدرات نود أن نحتفل ببداية تدريب أول دفعة من أكاديمية السويدي الفنية حيث يٌقدم المراكبى للصلب وبرنامج تدريب طلبة أكاديمية السويدي الفنية (STA) بالتعاون مع وزارة التربية والتعليم تدريب 20 طالب على أن ينضموا في تدريب انتاج الصلب، بداية من اليوم لمدة ثلاثة أعوام وأن يتم التدريب العملي بمصانع المراكبى بمدينة السادس من أكتوبر.
