2. Financing: Contains 81 financial channels through ten different mechanisms, including pre-seed funding, seed funding, angel investment, venture capital, private equity, crowdfunding platforms, grants, leasing (new), microfinance (new), and credit guarantee companies.
3. Non-Financial Services: Includes 19 mechanisms offering 299 support channels in areas such as information, legal, accounting, marketing, consulting (new), employment, technical support, e-commerce & online business support, green economy support (new), accelerators, incubators, valuation and strategy development (new), women’s entrepreneurship support, and support for entrepreneurs with special needs. It also includes NGOs and civil society organizations, as well as ministries and entities responsible for setting policies for this sector.
4. Growth Phase: Comprises 32 support channels that help businesses with research and development, intellectual property protection, patent registration, technology transfer, science and technology parks, smart villages, and export support (new).
5. Networking: Contains 83 support channels for platforms beneficial to entrepreneurs, and entities that organize conferences and events, competitions, or provide co-working spaces. It also includes useful articles, magazines, and TV programs in this field.
Map Importance
The first edition, launched in November 2017 and presented for the first time at the Egypt Entrepreneurship Summit in Hurghada, included only 100 support channels. By comparison, the seventh edition had 351 channels, while this eighth and latest edition, launched today, features 567 support channels (logos). The map provides all the required information for entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs on a single page. The map is useful for entrepreneurs and startups and for decision-makers, policymakers, program designers, and donors to quickly identify areas saturated with services and those in need of more support.
To include the map in your presentations, lectures, workshops, and entrepreneurship curricula, I’ve attached a high-quality free image of the eighth edition via this link: https://lnkd.in/dCWAjFGW
My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this work, which was awarded the global prize for "Most Innovative Idea" by the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), founded in 1955 in the USA, which asked its members in over 90 countries to create similar maps, inspired by the Egyptian model.
