Cyprus to Utilize Zohr Infrastructure: Kronos Gas Production Planned for 2027 Cyprus has announced plans to commence natural gas production from the Kronos field by 2027, leveraging the state-of-the-art infrastructure of Egypt’s Zohr gas field. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, received a delegation from AngloGold Ashanti and Centamin corporations, after the entry of AngloGold into the Egyptian market as a partner to The Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority ( EMRA ) in Al - Sukari gold mine following its acquisition of Centamin PLC corporation. The meeting included senior officials from the two companies, namely; Marcelo Pereira da Silva, Senior Vice President of AngloGold, Martin Horgan, CEO of Centamin, and Amr Hassouna, CEO of Sukari and Centamin Egypt.
