In the heart of Expo City Dubai, we are forging a future where innovation meets security in the realm of smart cities! Our discussions with distinguished leaders in the regional ecosystem including; Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Hafez, Vice President of Cybersecurity Affairs at the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA), Eng. Rashid Mohammed, Chief Technology Officer of Dubai Expo, and Eng. Eman Al Awadhi, Vice President of Network and Cybersecurity at Expo City Dubai, have been invaluable. As an implementing partner alongside Middle East Communication Systems (MCS), and under the leadership of Mr. Tarek Shabaka, Synerjies is joining forces to strengthening the processes outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the NTRA and Expo City Dubai. Building strong institutional mechanisms that foster international collaboration and knowledge transfer is at the core of what we do. At Synerjies, and under the guidance of Eng. Khaled El-Sayed, our managing director, we recognize that the future of our region hinges on robust IT infrastructure and enhanced cybersecurity measures. That’s why this partnership marks more than enhancing cybersecurity frameworks across Egypt and the UAE, we are also building resilient structures essential for safeguarding the integrity of our digital landscapes. #cybersecurity #digitaltransformation #ITecosystem #futurecities

In our continued focus on African elections, this 19th edition highlights Tunisia’s 2024 façade presidential race. Since gaining independence in 1956, Tunisia has undergone significant political transformations, including the Arab Spring uprising in 2011, which brought democratic reforms. However, recent developments under President Kais Saied, who has centralized power and curbed opposition, have raised concerns over democratic backsliding. Our coverage provides in-depth insights into the political, economic, and foreign policy dimensions of this crucial election. Special thanks to Abdelrahman Toama for his contribution to this edition

On Monday, October 7, 2024, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) of Egypt granted licenses to major telecom operators in Egypt—Vodafone, Orange, and e&—to join Telecom Egypt, which had secured its 5G license in January. 5G, or fifth-generation mobile network, is a global wireless standard that offers faster speeds, greater data capacity, and more reliable connections than previous networks. It can deliver multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra-low latency for near-instant data transmission, and support a large number of connected devices thanks to its massive network capacity.
