When conflicts arise, I always remind the team that we're all working toward the same goal: delivering value to the client. Often, I assign them to work together on a project or task, as shared responsibility helps rebuild trust and strengthens their working relationship. By focusing on common goals and encouraging open communication, I've found this approach strengthens team dynamics and keeps everyone aligned.

Empower your team by trusting them first - If you take the first step and show your employees that you trust them, they'll more likely trust you back. Empower them by encouraging professional development and autonomy. Add extra responsibility on their plate, Invite them to sit in on meetings that they typically wouldn't attend. Also be supportive without hovering and show them you are available without putting pressure on them, so your employees know you trust them to act on their own but you are always there if they need to reach out.

In IBM, I initiated the "Funs Lunch" to ease conflict. I asked the two conflict teams/individuals to join lunch and each of them needed to prepare positive things/comments about others, they will take turns to share the positive or good things of others with the group, and the one able to find the highest number of positive things about other will win the games. This is work most of the time but we need to ensure that NO negative things or characters or actions are shared.
