And it is alarming how many of these roles are asking for Business Development and/or sales experience, with creating your own client portfolio often listed as a responsibility. Let me be clear: ✅ The concept of "Recruitment 360º" involves managing every stage of the hiring process: - Identifying Hiring Needs 📑 - Sourcing Candidates 🔎 - Screening and Shortlisting 🧐 - Interviewing 🙎♂️ - Offer and Negotiation 💎 - Onboarding 🎯 And that's all. But that's already a lot, and it implies more. If you are also expected to approach potential clients and attract them, you are essentially operating as a freelancer. And if someone else is managing your fees in this situation, they are taking advantage of you. No matter how they frame it, if a company is asking you to do everything, you don't need them. 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 - After challenging work experiences and burnout, they dedicated time to self-care. Now, they're ready and rejuvenated! 𝟒. 𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 - They were acquiring knowledge and skills that can now benefit your team! 𝟓. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 - While expanding horizons and gaining diverse perspectives, they became more autonomous and better team players.     A little bit of my journey as a freelancer

    Returning from my holiday in Greece yesterday, I found a missed delivery notice from Correos stating that I needed to collect a parcel. 👭 My friend Clara and I live far away from each other but she has seen my ups and downs since I started working as a freelancer so she decided to send me a t-shirt listing the struggles of a freelancer in a comical way. You might think it's just a white T-shirt with some silly sentences, however whit this small gesture, my friend supported 2 people: Me and the creator of the T-Shirt, who is also her friend. Receiving this t-shirt lifted my spirits, just as much as discovering that one of the seeds I brought from Amsterdam, which I left as a plant 10 days ago, had blossomed into a beautiful Sunflower. 🙄 I hadn't planned to become a freelancer so soon, but I had thought about it. Day and night. For a very long time. Each time, I dismissed the idea because I "needed more experience". And what is freelancing if not a rollercoaster experience? When a company I wanted to work with suggested that it would be interesting for them to hire me as a freelancer, I didn't hesitate. They knew what they wanted, I knew how to do it, and despite the usual recruitment challenges, it started smoothly. However, I found myself deeply embedded in the company, not truly living the freelancer life. The real challenge came when that journey ended (or paused). I wanted to do more. I had to do more to succeed as a freelancer. And I started taking action: 👉In January I began networking. 👉 In February I attended Webwinkel Vakdagen in Amsterdam (yeah, that's when I bought the seeds) to network more, seizing the opportunity as I had a dance event there 😉 👉 In March I landed new clients (and a very challenging position). 👉 In April I was happily working and saw some success, while continuing to expand my network. 👉 In May I was devastated when one candidate wasn't really transparent and ended up rejecting a job offer. 👉 In June... well, it's June. ✅ In June I am here to remind you that experience comes from action. That just like my sunflowers, sometimes you'll try and fail but the more you try the more your opportunities of success will increase (and your skills). You’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel as I have seen the results of my hard work, not just in my garden but in my business. Because it's June and in June... The freelancer life is beautiful, and there's so much more to come. 😋 Remember: Work for your sunflowers, or become one 🌻

    It has been a while since you have heard anything about me. Well, today it is about me 😋 A little over a year ago I decided I wanted to do more and better and started my journey as freelancer. It wasn't gonna be easy but It is what my heart told me to do. Well, that and moving to Sicily as most of you already know 💚 Fortunately, I made the right choice and during this time I have had the opportunity to manage interesting recruitment projects alongside very focused hiring managers; making some great hires and, above all, being surrounded by amazing human beings. And that was the main reason why I wanted to work on my own. I wanted to put my heart in what I was doing and offering to both, clients and candidates, honesty and good advice in any situation. So I did. I am not going to deny it had its challenges, however the year was a fruitful one. Now I am ready to take the next step! 📢 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 is born as a commitment to offer the best of me helping companies to create healthy recruitment cycles and support candidates before, during and after any interview process.
