🇯🇵 We've arrived in Osaka! 🤝 On the first day of this visit to Japan, #Biocat representants, alongside with Japan Mission 2024 participants, have participated in the EU-Japan Biotechnology & Pharma Conference. ✅ The Japan Mission has the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and we will be accompanied by the @Mònica Castellà Pujadó, Head of the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia in Japan. 🙌 We are proud to be part of this event organized by the @EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and the Osaka Prefecture Government. The first day was marked by the recognition of the strategic power of the #BioRegionCatalonia. On the first day, we've made contacts with Japanese clusters and universities such as Kagoshima University and Kyushu University. It has been a great opportunity to connect and think about strategies for Osaka Expo 2025. 🗨 Núria Martí Ras, director of innovation at Biocat, was able to present the #BioRegionCatalonia, as well as its capabilities and #Biocat's lines of action to all congress participants. 💡 Carme Plasencia, CEO of AROMICS Biotech and Martí Dalmases Arnella, from Ahead Therapeutics, have been able to do their pitches and explore synergies. 💊 Catalan presentations also arose the interest of big Japanese pharma companies. ✔ During the second day, we've participated in the ICEX program with different sessions with representants from Japan's ecosystem. Japan Bioindustry Association, an association with 600 individuals and 505 corporates, has presented Japan's #biotech and #medtech ecosystem. At the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device Agency session, they've analyzed the regulation of drug developing and discovering in Japan. ✔ The delegation also met with the Spanish ambassador in Japan, Fidel Sendagorta, and the commercial counselor of Japan, Gonzalo Ramos Puig, to talk about the challenges of the sector and what do our companies and entities need to strengthen the collaborations and the relationship with Japan. ✔ We've also visited Life Science Innovation Network Japan (LINK-J), the Japanese association in Tokyo that covers all the companies and stakeholders in the sector, where Núria Martí Ras, director of innovation at Biocat, explained the BioRegion's ecosystem. 🔴 Now BioJapan 2024 is waiting for us!
