Yesterday, six Bionet teams (that’s 24 of our colleagues!) joined in the 5 km VI Murcia Companies Running Race (VI Carrera de Empresas de Murcia). We’re thrilled to share that one of our teams Pedro Buendía, Raul Agüera López, David Alonso Fernández and José Antonio Moreno Martínez claimed an impressive second place out of over 1,500 runners and 380 teams! Every day is about progress, growth, and bioprocessing here at Bionet. After 25 years, we’re stronger than ever — and just getting started!

🌍 The Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS2024) has officially concluded! Representing three countries close to my heart🇪🇨 🇪🇸 🇮🇪: Ecuador, where I was born; Spain, where I work BIONET and Ireland, where I study BiOrbic, Bioeconomy SFI Research Centre. I am proud to be part of a generation of youth champions who embody what it means to be citizens of the world. The #GBS2024 has underscored the incredible impact of collaborative efforts for a sustainable, inclusive #bioeconomy. For the Youth Bioeconomy Champions Isabella García Caffaro Johann Liebeton Juan Fernando Martínez Bertha S. #GBS2024 marked the culmination of months of dedicated work, now captured in our first Communique: a call to action that we hope will encourage new voices to join this transformative movement. It was a pleasure meeting Patrick Barrett in person to celebrate this exciting announcement of next GBS 2026 taking place in Dublin.
