🌱 Eliminating Heavy Metals with Phytoremediation 🌱 Heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, and lead, are toxic pollutants that accumulate in the environment, posing serious health risks. Traditional methods of removing these contaminants often cause further ecological harm. Phytoremediation, a promising solution, uses plants to absorb, degrade, or neutralise these harmful metals from soil and water 🌍. Species like mustard, sunflower, and rapeseed have shown the ability to remove significant amounts of toxic metals.
