🌏 Our CEO, Carlos Martin Rivals, has just wrapped up an eventful week in #Australia, marked by several key events and meetings that highlight our ongoing commitment to the region. 🎤 At the Gippsland New Energy Conference (#GNEC24):  Carlos participated in the conference held in Gippsland, Victoria — home to our Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project (https://lnkd.in/gFZxCA44). He delivered a talk on the panel "Care, Share, Be Fair: How to Co-Exist Offshore," sharing insights on how we can apply lessons from overseas to Gippsland’s nascent offshore wind industry. Additionally, BlueFloat Energy hosted the "Taste of Gippsland" drinks event, where local produce, food, and drinks took center stage. Carlos offered a toast, and everyone enjoyed signature cocktails like the “BlueFloat Lagoon” and “Dream Dawn”. He also spoke passionately about the transition to renewables as the next Industrial Revolution, emphasizing the importance of creating lasting jobs and opportunities while achieving emissions reduction targets. 🤝 Key Meetings with Government Officials:  Throughout the week, Carlos met with several key government ministers, including State Minister for Energy & Resources Lily D’Ambrosio MP and Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen MP. These discussions are pivotal in reinforcing our commitment to supporting Australia’s energy transition and ensuring the success of our projects in the region. 🍽️ Dinner with Traditional Owners:  On Monday night, Carlos was honored to attend a dinner with the Traditional Owners Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) (the Registered Aboriginal Party that represents the Gunaikurnai people, the Traditional Owners of the Country). The evening was an opportunity to hear stories from Aboriginal elders and discuss how we can work together to develop new energy in Gippsland. The dinner also marked the launch of GLaWAC’s Pathways to Partnership plan—a significant step towards building collaborative relationships in the region. We are excited about the future of renewable energy in #Gippsland and look forward to continuing our work in this region! #RenewableEnergy #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition #Australia

🌍 🔋 #Australia and #NewZealand are both advancing in their clean energy journeys, each with unique challenges and opportunities. In Australia, offshore wind is gaining momentum as the country seeks to decarbonize and transition away from coal generation. Meanwhile, New Zealand, which already has a high level of renewable power in its energy mix, is focusing on enhancing security of energy supply as it explores the potential of offshore wind. Recent advancements in regulatory frameworks and key offshore wind tenders in Australia are making it a particularly attractive market for large-scale renewable energy projects. Our CEO, Carlos Martin Rivals, is off to another trip to these two key #APAC markets to further strengthen our engagement and collaboration with stakeholders. During his visit, Carlos will meet with authorities, institutions, local community representatives, and other key partners to discuss how BlueFloat Energy can continue shaping the development of an offshore wind industry in both countries. ➡ In Australia, Carlos will be speaking tomorrow at the GNEC, Gippsland New Energy Conference in Traralgon, addressing the topic: "Care, Share, Be Fair: How to Coexist Offshore." Additionally, Kate Lancaster, Gippsland Dawn's Stakeholder Engagement Manager, will host a panel discussion on "What is Community Engagement and Why Does it Matter?" at 4:30 PM. BlueFloat Energy will be sponsoring the Taste of Gippsland networking drinks as well.    ➡ In New Zealand, Carlos will participate in the Climate Change & Business Conference on Monday, 9th September, at 9:30 AM in a plenary panel discussion titled “Leading Climate Action: How Can Business and Government Work in Unison to Accelerate the Transition?”  He will also deliver a speech at the 2024 New Zealand Wind Energy Summit on Wednesday, September 11th. At BlueFloat Energy, we are committed to sharing our global expertise and working closely with public and private sector stakeholders to ensure that Australia and New Zealand’s offshore wind industries are set up for long-term success. 🚀 #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #GNEC24 #NZWES24 #WindEnergy
