CIDETEC es una organización privada de investigación aplicada fundada en 1997 que tiene como objeto la aportación de valor a las empresas mediante la captación, generación y transferencia de conocimiento tecnológico. Ubicado en la sede de Donostia-San Sebastián del Parque Científico Tecnológico de Gipuzkoa, CIDETEC integra a tres centros tecnológicos de referencia internacional en almacenamiento de energía, ingeniería de superficies y nanomedicina. - Almacenamiento de Energía CIDETEC Energy Storage es un centro especialista en la generación de nuevas tecnologías de baterías y su transferencia a la industria. El centro tiene capacidad para desarrollar productos y procesos completos y ofrece servicios de validación de materiales, fabricación piloto, ingeniería de packs y ensayo de baterías. - Ingeniería de Superficies CIDETEC Surface Engineering es un centro referente en la ingeniería de superficies y eje de un polo de innovación especializado en el desarrollo de estas tecnologías, proporcionando soluciones para las superficies a lo largo de toda la cadena de valor dirigidas a los sectores de automoción, aeroespacial, generación de energía y otros. - Nanomedicina CIDETEC Nanomedicine es un centro dedicado al desarrollo de materiales innovadores en el campo de la biomedicina. El centro basa su actividad en la generación de tecnología propia y cuenta en la actualidad con tres familias de patentes concedidas y varias más solicitadas. Su contacto directo con la industria le permite completar la transferencia de tecnología reduciendo el tiempo de llegada al mercado. CIDETEC cuenta en la actualidad con una plantilla de 180 personas, de las cuales un 95% son titulados universitarios y un 45% doctores. El volumen de actividad alcanzó los 13,1 M€ en 2018.

    🔋🔋🔋🔋 4th General Assembly of BatWoMan project. This week 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 hosted the 4th General Assembly of the BatWoMan project. This meeting brought together key partners, including AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), SOVEMA GROUP - Member of the Schuler Group, SAUERESSIG Group and CIDETEC. Two years after the project's inception, the assembly provided an excellent opportunity to review our progress in developing new sustainable and cost-efficient Li-ion battery cell production concepts, paving the way toward carbon-neutral cell production within the European Union. We are proud to be part of this collaboration aimed at advancing sustainable energy solutions for the future.     📢 🔋 Over the next 2 months, we're going to be introducing you to the members of our #SOLVE consortium, whose challenge is to develop the solid-state battery of tomorrow! We start with the project coordinator: CIDETEC #Energy #Storage 🔎 CIDETEC Energy Storage is a research and development organization specializing in advanced #battery technologies, designing, developing and testing the batteries of the future for 25 years. Their activity covers the entire value chain from battery chemistry to final application. They design and develop cells, modules and battery packs tailored to their customers’ needs, with a clear commitment towards technology transfer to industry. 🕵♂️ We asked them 3 questions : Why was it important for you to be involved in #SSB technology R&D and joining the SOLVE project? 🎙 Solid-state battery (SSB) technology is crucial for achieving more efficient and safe energy storage solutions. For us at CIDETEC Energy Storage, being coordinator of the SOLVE project is a unique opportunity to share and expand our expertise in the SSB domain. SOLVE brings together leading actors across the SSB field, from computational tools and materials development to battery module engineering development for applications in #electromobility and #aviation. We believe SOLVE will make significant strides toward the implementation of solid-state batteries and help drive the future of sustainable energy. What exactly is your role in the project? 🎙 CIDETEC Energy Storage plays a multifaceted role in the project. First of all, we are proud to coordinate the project.     EARPA Project Spotlight, BATSS EU 💡  The project focuses on the mission to transform the European battery value chain with safer, more efficient, and sustainable battery systems for transport and mobile applications. The 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 team showcased forefront research through two oral presentations and one poster, highlighting recent advancements in corrosion science relevant to H storage & transport, Aerospace, and Energy sectors. The conference was an incredibly enriching experience, sparking insightful discussions and fostering exchanges of innovative ideas with leading experts in the field.
