It is crucial for our sovereignty, economic competitiveness and for achieving our climate goals. To help achieve this, we call for bold action from #policymakers at all levels. 📣 Today marks another exciting milestone: the launch of our Manifesto! Regardless of political affiliation, we invite political candidates in the coming #EUelections to pledge their support for ushering in a new era of Iberian climate and industrial leadership. Our vision is based on three pillars:  📈 #Competitiveness, #jobs and #investment: We aim to attract massive private investment to make the Iberian Peninsula Europe's next cleantech hub. This can create thousands of durable, well-paying jobs and foster cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. 🔋#Energytransition and #sovereignty: We're committed to accelerating the green transition and industrial decarbonisation, leveraging the region's abundant clean energy resources. 👩🔧 #Society, #Citizen Well-being, and #Skills: Our focus is on deploying cleantech skills to empower the workforce and address the clean energy skills gap. We're dedicated to reducing energy poverty and investing in reskilling and upskilling programs to benefit from the green transformation. From urban to rural areas, cleantech offers new opportunities for citizen well-being, while reshaping existing sectors and creating a more lively and cohesive territory. Creating the right policy conditions for these technologies to scale and become global front-runners will assume a strategic priority in the public debate. Huge thanks to Geoffroy Gérard and Isabela Alcázar PhD for driving this critical conversation forward!   Iberia’s competitive edge is clear:   ⚡ Renewable Energy Leadership: Portugal’s renewable electricity share is set to exceed 80% in 2025 🚀 Proactive Policy Frameworks: Spain’s upcoming Industry Law and Portugal’s expected Energy Storage Roadmap signal strong governmental commitment to cleantech 💶 Public finance institutions are stepping up - Instituto de Crédito Oficial, Enisa, COFIDES, CDTI Innovación, IDAE, Aicep Portugal Global, Banco Português de Fomento, and the European Investment Bank are actively funding and de-risking investments.   📈🔥The Investments are rolling in: Spain and Portugal are becoming strategic hubs for cleantech manufacturing and innovation.   ✅ Matteco secure an investment round in green hydrogen, bank by Spanish investors with €15M. ✅ H2SITE raised €36M backed by Spanish venture funds to scale hydrogen separation technology. ✅ Malta Inc is rolling out a Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) project in Puertollano. ✅ Rondo Energy is advancing its thermal storage project in Portugal. ✅ TURN2X is launching a renewable gas project in Extremadura.   📢 A call to action: This is a defining decade for Iberia and an opportunity to take the lead in the Clean Industrial Revolution.
