L’IRTA-CReSA col·labora amb el Centre de recherche en infectiologie porcine et avicole (CRIPA) de Quebec en un projecte innovador per enfortir la #seguretat alimentària i la producció animal #sostenible. ✨ Exciting News! ✨ I'm thrilled to announce that my first-author research article has just been published! 📄✨ This study is the result of hard work and represents countless hours of dedication during my master’s degree, where I had the incredible opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of wildlife microbiology and public health and collaborate with an amazing team🥰 In this study, we investigated how urban yellow-legged gulls (Larus michahellis) and peri-urban Audouin’s gulls (Larus audouinii) serve as reservoirs for Campylobacter and Salmonella strains of public health relevance. Our findings shed light on the role of these bird species in pathogen dissemination, highlighting their potential impact on human health. 🦠 This milestone is a significant step in my scientific journey, and I couldn’t be more excited to contribute to understanding and addressing public health risks associated with wildlife. I’m deeply grateful to my mentors, colleagues, and everyone who supported me throughout this process.
