As we come to the end of #CircularityMonth we wanted to highlight the work that we're doing to embrace the principles of a circular economy, to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency. This involves supporting the industry and innovative startups like Carbon Upcycling Technologies to foster a closed-loop system through sustainable material sourcing, recycling initiatives, and innovative design. Their solution will be piloting the use of upcycled industrial byproducts into materials that reduce the carbon footprint of cement at one of our prominent cement plants. 📰 Congratulations to the Cool Planet Technologies team for closing a €23.7 million Series A2 funding round! It is incredible to have the support and endorsement of three new major strategic investors across heavy industry verticals: Taranis Carbon Ventures, CRH Ventures, and BlueScopeX. Together with other existing investors including Eni Next and NEVA SGR, Audacy is also pleased to participate in the round. The funding proceeds will enable Cool Planet to advance the demonstration of its low-cost and low-energy point source capture technology at commercial scale and accelerate the establishment of a membrane manufacturing facility. 🏭 Hard-to-abate sectors are currently responsible for one-third of energy-related emissions. We believe Cool Planet’s modular and energy-efficient membrane technology will be a fundamental solution within the toolkit for decarbonising industrial emissions.
