Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with the CROW Bicycles SL e-Gravel bikes! The Nakasendo Trail (中山道) in Japan looks even more enticing with the #versatility and ease these #bikes provide, especially in handling those steep and varied terrains. Your design innovation truly shines with the combination of #electric assist, #performance, #lightweight portability, and smart range management. This kind of thoughtful #engineering really opens up new possibilities for riders. Looking forward to seeing more of these incredible rides!🌏🚴 . . . #crowbicycles #ebikes #technology #Innovation #cyclinginnovation #fazua #motor #performance #sustainability #greenfuture #techbike #cycling #gravel #road #expanding #Japan #asia #d2c #B2C #B2B #B2B2C #internationalization #emobility #micromobility #global #ecommerce
Exploring the Nakasendo Trail just got a little easier with our new Crow SL e-gravel bikes. What makes this functional: 1) Ability to traverse steep and varied surfaces with electric assist (PAS) providing more traction (in saddle) and less fatigue (up to 250w). 2) Ability to hand carry the bikes over non-rideable sections. This is a big one. In cycling we call this 'hike-a-bike'. And the heavier the unit, the more difficult and tedious this is. Bikes weighing much more than 10-12kg are practically impossible for the average rider to lug repeatedly over non-rideable sections. 3) Small frame footprint. The unique in-tube motor/battery assembly means a smaller BB / Frame section yielding more frame space and ground clearance. 4) Super easy maintenance and service. Unlike many e-bikes, the motor, battery and control units are easily removed and swappable. In fact the motor-battery unit is entirely optional! 5) Balanced range. Sure big batteries give you long range - but there is no free lunch! (2) . The Crow SL features an easy swap 250wh battery that provides up to 100km (eco mode) range with more than plenty range to tackle the steep difficult sections requiring max assist. A little planning will allow for a quick battery swap or top up charge at lunch giving you plenty of range to ride a full day. Here's a short time-lapse video of riding the Jyusan Toge (13 passes) section of Nakasendo up to Okute-juku which is one of the pearls of the Nakasendo in terms of renovated postal towns. A definite highlight of the Nakasendo and approach from Jyusan Toge is the premier challenge. https://lnkd.in/gz6Ur6vh
