We are so proud to see our PhD students succeed!! Congratulations Piera Riccio and Aditya Gulati for a fruitful and exciting trip to Milano to present your work at #ECCV2024!! #AI4SocialGood Fundación Banco Sabadell Intel Corporation #H2020 #ELIAS
Last Sunday I kicked-off my #ECCV2024 journey by presenting our papers (1) "An Art-centric perspective on AI-based content moderation of nudity" in the "AI 4 Visual Arts" (#AI4VA) workshop and (2) "Exploring the Boundaries of Content Moderation in Text-to-Image Generation" in the "Critical Evaluation of Generative Models and their Impact on Society" (#CEGIS) workshop. In both papers, we aim to question the status-quo of ML-based content moderation in different online platforms, both from a societal and a technological perspective. For the curious ones, pre-prints are available here: https://lnkd.in/dn9XMtG2 https://lnkd.in/dwMaxbr5 A big thank you goes to the organizers of both workshops for creating the space to discuss new, interdisciplinary ideas. In this regard, I also want to mention the amazing panel at the "Vision for Art" (#VISART) workshop regarding the challenges faced by interdisciplinary researchers. It's nice to know that we are not alone! :) For the rest of the week, I have set my brain to "listener" mode and I was amazed by the amount of interesting ideas I was able to grasp in just a few days, and by all the things I have learned during this conference. Needless to say, going to conferences is not just about learning and sharing, but also about meeting friends while making new ones. The intellectual stimuli and the possibility of building human connections make me feel grateful for having chosen this career. Til next time ✨
