🔥 The new HI4S technology 🏭 LIFE HI4S wants to give a second life to the steel industry waste as a thermal energy storage (TES) material, thanks to its positive thermophysical properties. The HI4S technology is based on four fundamental pillars: 1) High temperature ceramic filtering system, guaranteeing a low-cost and reliable solution to the problem of dust and high temperatures in off-gas heat recovery. 2) Continuous and homogeneous source of useful energy to be managed on demand. 3) Scrap preheating, i.e. the step prior to the melting process. 4) New vector fluid having a lower GWP than the fluorinated gases traditionally employed, ensuring its performance with the operating conditions.
