Timeless UX Lessons from Miguel Milá As we remember Miguel Milá, whose recent loss has deeply impacted the design community, we reflect on the incredible legacy he leaves behind. In digital and product design, we're inspired to always seek the perfect balance between form and function—a lesson we've learned from the great masters. One of these masters is Miguel Milá, a pioneer of industrial design whose legacy continues to shape our understanding of user experience (UX). Today, we want to highlight three of his works that have taught us the power of human-centered design: 🔹 TMC Lamp (1961): Flexibility at the Heart of Design The TMC, with its height-adjustable shade, reminds us that successful design adapts to the user's needs. We apply this principle in our projects by creating flexible, customizable interfaces, where users have control and can tailor the experience to their preferences. 🔹 Cesta Lamp (1962): Portability and Simplicity The Cesta lamp, with its portable design, underscores the importance of simplicity and mobility. This translates to our vision for digital products: lightweight, intuitive interfaces accessible from any device, ensuring that the user experience is always smooth and comfortable, no matter where they are. 🔹 Neoromantic Bench (1974): Balancing Tradition and Modernity This bench, which merges the classic with the contemporary, inspires us to maintain a balance between the familiar and the innovative in our designs. The user experience should feel both novel and secure, blending the best of traditional design with the latest technologies to deliver solutions that resonate on an emotional level.
