Last Thursday, g2-Zero had the pleasure of attending secpho’s Open Innovation Cocktail joined by leaders in the photonics and semiconductor deep-tech space as well as experts from academia. 🍸   The event was the perfect opportunity to get to know the many facets of innovation and transformation taking place in the Spanish ecosystem and beyond. Through various icebreakers, g2-Zero’s members and associates learnt about many new technologies and imagined new synergies for its Plug&Play single-photon sources. 💡   Many thanks to our partner and most longstanding secpho member David Castrillo Sanz of Hamamatsu Corporation for inviting us. g2-zero is pleased to announce another new addition to team. Nikolai Lavroff joins g2-zero as a Business Development Specialist. Nikolai comes to us from Brussels, Belgium where he recently obtained his Master’s in Physics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles with a focus on biophysics and quantum technology. Additionally, Nikolai brings commercial experience from his time working for the software company Salesforce as a solution engineer across different industries. Nikolai’s interdisciplinary background will help g2-zero unite its technology and funding with public and private partners.

g2-Zero is pleased to welcome our new team member Ali Nowzari as a Senior Product Development Engineer. Ali joins us with more than 8 years of experience in semiconductor design, fabrication and characterization. In addition to various industrial research and development roles, Ali completed his PhD in Physics in 2018 at Lund University where he carried out cutting-edge research on semiconductor nanowires. With his strong background as a semiconductor research engineer, Ali will help g2-Zero to develop the highest quality devices through optimised microfabrication techniques. A warm welcome on behalf of the whole team!

Yesterday was a milestone for g2-Zero! We set up our booth and had the chance to pitch in front of the greatest experts in quantum technologies at the first Quantum Industry Day hosted by the Danish Quantum Community and DTU Skylab.
