The exhibition is up! We are very excited to launch our Creative Arts exhibition at 44AD Gallery, Bath with a private view tomorrow evening from 6-8pm. The gallery will then be open for the rest of the week until 5pm on Sunday for the general public. Any of my Art friends are very welcome to join us for the private view tomorrow evening if you are able to attend. We hope to see you there.
Big news! Two Globeducate schools advance to WWF Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2024 final of just eight teams! Congratulations to the 1240 students who took part and to Nobel Algarve British International School, Lagoa and Agora Granada College International School on making it through to the global finals on December 12th! As part of their Humanities curriculum, Year 7 students from Cambridge House British International School took part in a physical geography field trip which gave them the opportunity to explore various rock structures and natural cave formations. Read more below!
🇪🇸 Como parte de su plan de estudios de Humanidades, nuestros alumnos de Year 7 participaron en la excursión anual a las Cuevas de San José el pasado jueves 16 de octubre. Esta excursión da a los alumnos la oportunidad de explorar diversas estructuras rocosas y formaciones de cuevas naturales, parte integrante de sus estudios de geografía física. Al finalizar, visitaron el antiguo pueblo cercano para profundizar en su comprensión de los cambios de asentamiento a lo largo del tiempo. Además, este tipo de experiencias inmersivas fomentan la curiosidad, mejoran la conciencia espacial y proporcionan un contexto práctico para los conocimientos teóricos, contribuyendo a una formación educativa completa que promueve tanto el crecimiento intelectual como el personal. This trip gives pupils the opportunity to explore various rock structures and natural cave formations, an integral part of their physical geography studies. At the end, they visited the nearby ancient village to deepen their understanding of settlement changes over time. In addition, these types of immersive experiences foster curiosity, enhance spatial awareness and provide a practical context for theoretical knowledge, contributing to a well-rounded educational background that promotes both intellectual and personal growth. Boundary Oak School is incredibly proud of our Head of Early Years, Mrs Pettit, who is taking on the challenge of running 36 km from Petersfield to Portsmouth in support of Combat Stress. As a school with deep ties to the military, we understand the importance of standing with veterans and their families, many of whom are part of our boarding community. Combat Stress provides vital mental health support to those affected by trauma, and this race is an incredible way to raise awareness and funds for such a meaningful cause.
