🔬¿Se pueden cuantificar las interacciones proteicas directamente sobre muestras de tejido? Desde 2022, gracias a la tecnología QF-Pro® desarrollada por HAWK Biosystems, se puede. Quantifying Functions in Proteins (QF-Pro®) es un ensayo de bioimagen puntero que permite cuantificar eventos proteómicos funcionales como interacciones proteicas (PPIs) o Modificaciones postraduccionales (PTM).  ⚙️¿Cómo funciona?  QF-Pro® se basa en modificaciones de la tecnología FRET/FLIM, permitiendo que este ensayo realice mediciones de entre 1 y 10 nm para cuantificar espacialmente las funciones de proteínas con una resolución sin precedentes en el mercado. Dos epítopos se marcan simultáneamente utilizando anticuerpos primarios específicos para luego ser detectados con reactivos de marcado secundarios conjugados a diferentes fluoróforos; uno actúa como donador de energía FRET y el otro actúa como aceptor. Lo que diferencia a QF-Pro® es la amplificación patentada del fluoróforo aceptor, que aumenta la relación señal-ruido al menos 4 veces.
