In the European Union, construction and demolition waste accounts for approximately 30% of the 2.5 billion 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, amounting to over 500 million tonnes each year. Regarding paper mill sludge, the EU generates more than 8 million tonnes of this waste annually. Thanks to the innovative HONEXT® Process—IP-Protected & certified Circular by design—this once 'worthless' residue can be upcycled into high-quality, fully recyclable panels, providing a real alternative to traditional construction materials. This stand, designed by DearPlanet®, embodies the concept of Positive Impact (Net Positive). As the first MWC 2023 stand to bring this vision to life, it was recognised by FRAME, a global platform renowned for exploring cutting-edge spatial design, innovation, and creativity. The panels showcase their unique texture and varying shades, enhancing the stand's aesthetic appeal and allowing for easy dismantling and reuse as many times as necessary. Additionally, they can be fully recycled at the end of their lifespan, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 after the event. This negligence results in significant environmental repercussions, including soil and aquifer contamination from unregulated landfills, landscape degradation, and the wastage of valuable resources embedded in this waste. The University of Valencia has presented the refurbishment of its General Physics laboratory. The main objectives that have been pursued in this renovation reform have been aimed at 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀, while respecting the environment, and HONEXT® is perfect for this! It has been used as interior 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈. Honext boards are made from waste cellulose fibres and other waste industrial fibres.
