We are glad to share that our collaborator Prof. Dr. Liudvika Leišytė, Deputy Director of the Center for Higher Education at TU Dortmund University, spoke about intersectionality within education in her presentation at New York University. Within InterHEd we seek to: ➡ Create and implement innovative #methodologies that engage faculty and students from diverse social groups to explore the application of #intersectionality. ➡ Generate transferable #interdisciplinary #knowledge on intersectionality in higher #education, including #curricula, #pedagogies and teaching methodologies, assessment and learning environments. ➡ Raise awareness among relevant actors on the importance and potential of applying an intersectional approach to higher education teaching. #InterHed_EU #InterHEdproject #Erasmusplus #euproject #mainstreamingintersectionality
Great discussions and reflections on #intersectionality last week at the New York University School of Professional Studies Intersectionality Lab (I-Lab) featuring our professorship Prof. Dr. Liudvika Leišytė, Deputy Director of the Center of Higher Education and JProf. Daniela Gimenez Jimenez, the fellow of University Alliance Ruhr Future Fellowship! #FFP2024 Their presentations at New York University SPS Intersectionality Lab (I-Lab) event "Intersectionality in Action: Transforming Well-being in Education & Business" offered insights into integrating well-being into both academic and professional environments. These contributions deeply resonated with attendees, particularly in light of Mental Health Awareness Month and the focus on UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. 🌍 Together with Prof. Raul Sanchez, Director of the ILab, faculty and staff from New York University SPS and colleagues from the United Nations, discussions centered on fostering #inclusive #environments in #academia and #business. We are excited to continue this collaboration and look forward to sharing more through a post-event article on the Intersectionality Lab (I-Lab) website. A special thanks to Mr. Pietro Bonfante, Graduate Researcher and Project Developer at the Intersectionality Lab (I-Lab), who will be spearheading this initiative. We look forward to further academic exchange, and fostering innovative approaches to enhance well-being in academia and business! 💡 #Intersectionality #Wellbeing #EducationAndBusiness #FutureOfWork #Sustainability #SDG3 #TechnischeUniversitätDortmund #NYU
