Je suis président d'un club de Football 👀 Vous avez certainement déjà entendu parler de la Kings League. C’est une compétition de foot à 7 qui emprunte les codes du gaming, avec des bonus, des cartes secrètes et beaucoup de spectacle. Les matchs sont retransmis sur Twitch par les plus grands streamers en Espagne, au Brésil ou encore en Italie. Certains l’opposent à tort au football que nous pratiquons à l’échelle professionnelle. Je trouve à titre personnel que c’est un format complémentaire, plus axé sur le divertissement et qui séduit un public plus jeune. Pour le lancement de la ligue en France, nous avons été approchés avec Jules Koundé pour être ambassadeurs du projet. Mais avec mon agence Excellence Sport Nation, quand on décide de faire quelque chose, on le fait à fond ! Plutôt que de participer simplement à la promotion, nous avons décidé de monter une équipe. Notre équipe ! J’en suis le co-président avec mes coéquipiers en sélection Jules Koundé et Mike Maignan. Mais c’est un projet qui embarque tous les joueurs et toutes les forces vives de notre structure. Il y aura 8 équipes au total dans cette ligue et elles sont pensées pour être des franchises. Les autres présidents sont des noms bien connus du streaming : Aminematue, Squeezie, Michou, Kameto, Pfut, Domingo… Il y a également Adil Rami, un ancien joueur pro qui a mis un pied dans le streaming. Ça va donc faire du bruit, beaucoup de bruit. Nous allons conduire la 8e équipe. Un club présidé par autant de joueurs en activité est un fait inédit dans la Kings League. Et beaucoup se sont demandés si on allait vraiment s’impliquer. Alors autant vous dire que les visio qu’on a eu jusqu’à présent en sont un bon indicateur. On se prend la tête sur tout : le nom de l’équipe, les tenues, les logos, la composition du staff, la philosophie de jeu qu’on souhaite avoir. On est vraiment aux affaires et je pourrai vous faire des retours ici régulièrement sur les décisions que l’on prend pour animer le club. D’ici là, je vous donne rendez-vous le 24 mars pour la draft et la présentation officielle des équipes. La compétition débutera ensuite le 6 avril. Restez branchés !
