A little update from us 🌟 It's been a brilliant start to the year for Motion Balearics! We've had the privilege of collaborating with a variety of businesses in the property sector - and even took on a unique project for a cycling company in Alcúdia 🚴♀️ . While we specialise in high end visual production, much of our work remains behind closed doors, often with locations that can’t be disclosed. So for anyone who would like to read further...let us tell you about one of our favourite projects we've been working on this year; In January, we spent a lot of our time focussing on a beautiful townhouse build in Calvià. The services we delivered included; ⛰️ Terrain assessment and site analysis: Before construction of the pool went ahead, we conducted a detailed terrain assessment and site analysis using our drone, gathering high resolution and topographical data. This is particularly useful in Calvià, where the terrain can be really varied, which is infamously tricky to navigate when putting in a swimming pool. 🎥 3D Site Scanning for initial assessment: For the main building, we produced a detailed 3D digital twin of the existing site. This provided a comprehensive view of the terrain, existing structures, and any other relevant features before construction began. By capturing accurate spatial data of the property, the 3D twin helps architects and builders visualise the space in three dimensions, allowing them to make informed decisions. Not something I expected to be sharing two months into the launch of our business Motion Balearics, but over the past 8 weeks I’ve gained a new appreciation for how indispensable virtual technology and 3D tools have become in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries - and I’m genuinely fascinated. From giving architects a robust foundation for their designs to enabling engineering and construction teams to leverage detailed, annotated virtual tours that minimise time on site, improve efficiency, enhance safety, and reduce litigation risks, these tools are transforming the way AECs work - and the rate at which they turn projects around! It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come in developing technologies that empower these industries. But it definitely makes me wonder how the AEC industries managed without virtual tech and 3D for so long 🤯.
