📢 Great news! We are happy to announce the publication of a policy brief developed by Eurocities in collaboration with NetZeroCitiesEU(NZC) and #NEUTRALPATH_eu cities, Dresden and Zaragoza. 📄 The policy brief highlights key policy recommendations for accelerating building #decarbonisation and supporting cities in their transition towards #climateneutrality. On the 26th of February, #NEUTRALPATH_eu hosted an online training session on Social Innovation as part of its Capacity Building Programme. 👥 This session explored the crucial role of citizen awareness and engagement in achieving #climateneutrality, highlighting strategies to mobilise communities, foster collaboration and address participation challenges. 📢 For our Spanish-speaking friends and partners! On February 20th, neighborhood stakeholders met at Centro Civico Rio Ebro in Zaragoza to dive deeper into the concepts of #PCED and the ongoing development of the #NEUTRALPATH_eu project. During the event, various initiatives aligned with the 2030 Climate-Neutral Cities Mission were showcased, emphasising the critical role of PCEDs and Climate Neutrality Laboratories (CN-Labs) in achieving these goals. As part of the NEUTRALPATH Capacity Building Programme, Eurocities held a webinar about one of the cities' biggest challenges: breaking down bureaucratic barriers to make climate action more effective. The experts Gabriela Uchoa and Anna Sokolowska, City Advisors for NetZeroCitiesEU, shared insights on overcoming fragmented decision-making and showcased best practices from cities like Guimarães and Aachen. 📢 For our Dutch-speaking friends and partners! On January 27-28, a two-day Design Session brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including municipal services, academic institutions, private sector partners, social neighbourhood organisations and engaged residents. The purpose was to reflect on the progress of the Living Lab Muide-Meulestede Fossil Free in 2024 and to shape the roadmap for 2025.
